RESOLUTION NO. 68R- 261
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING NO PARKING AREAS ON
PORTIONS OF STATE COLLEGE BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, Section 18.32.350 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code provides that it shall be unlawful to park or leave parked
any vehicle on State College Boulevard, on the west side, from
660 feet south of Ball Road to the south City limits, and on the
east side, from Ball Road to the south City limits, at such
times as the street is posted with "No Parking" signs; and the
Chief of Police is authorized under said Section 18.32.350 to
post and maintain along said street appropriate "No Parking"
signs at such times as are necessary, in his opinion, to maintain
traffic flow and control in connection with stadium events; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide adequate traffic capacity
for stadium events, said street was posted to provide for park-
ing restrictions as needed and striped for an additional traffic
lane; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California requires that parking be restricted at all times when
the additional traffic lane is designated adjacent to the curb;
and
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Division of
Highways to prohibit parking at all times on those portions of
State College Boulevard referred to in paragraph one of this
resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or
prohibit parking on a State Highway, if the resolution is first
submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Department of
Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited, at all times, on
State College Boulevard, on the west side, from 660 feet south
of Ball Road to the south City limits, and on the east side, from
Ball Road to the south City limits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall go
into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the Depart-
ment of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 14th day of May, 1968.
