1968-229RESOLUTION NO. 68RE -229 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public utility purposes and WHEREAS, the owner s of said property ha ve offered to sell and convey the same to the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the offer of THOMAS M. GOODE and ALICE S. GOODE, husband and wife, to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be used for an easement for road and public utility purposes and more particularly described as follows: An easement for road and public utility purposes over, under and across that portion of Lot 6 in Block B of Anaheim Villa Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 14, page 44 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Beginning at the center line intersection of Lincoln Ave- nue, formerly Center Street, and Illinois Street, as shown on said Map; thence South 60° 28' 00 West, along said Lincoln Avenue center line, 45.07 feet; thence South 29° 32' 00" East, 44.75 feet to a point in the Southerly line of said Lincoln Avenue, as described in the Final Decree of Condemnation recorded July 2, 1931 in Book 492, page 163 of Official Records, said point being the beginning of a curve, concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 15 feet, a radial line bearing North 29° 32' 00" West passes through said point; thence Southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle of 90° 04' 00 an arc distance of 23.58 feet to a point in the Westerly line of said Illinois Street; thence North 60° 32' 00" East, 30 feet to a point in the center line of said last mentioned street; thence North 29° 28' 00" West, along said center line, 59.80 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of said land included with- in said Lincoln Avenue (formerly Center Street) and Illinois Street, as shown on said map. ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of said land described in said Final Decree of Condemnation. -1- be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey- ance of said property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
