A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO ZONING SHOULD BE AMENDED
AND THAT THE BOUNDARIES OF CERTAIN ZONES
SHOULD BE CHANGED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing in Reclassification Proceed-
ings No. 67 -68 -68 to consider an amendment to
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to zoning, and
to consider a change in the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described, and at said hearing did
receive evidence and reports from persons interested therein
and from its staff; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty days following said
hearing the Planning Commission did duly adopt a resolution
containing a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence
presented at said hearing, and a recommendation that the pro-
posed amendment be adopted by the City Council and that a
certain zone or zones be changed as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission the City Council did fix the 30th day
of April 19 68 as the time, and the City Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place
for a public hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18
of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and the exclusion of said
property, hereinafter described, from the zone or zones in
which it now situated and the incorporation thereof in the
zone or zones hereinafter set forth, and did give notice there-
of in the manner and form as provided in said Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing the City Council did hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports, and
did thereupon consider the summary of evidence presented at
said public hearing before the Planning Commission, its report
of findings and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that the amendment to Title of the Anaheim Municipal Code
should be adopted and that the property hereinafter described
should be excluded from the zone or zones in which it is now
situated and incorporated in the zone or zones as hereinafter
set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended and that the following
described property, situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, to wit:

Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 82, Tract
No. 1356, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 46, pages
25 et seq. of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County;
thence Northerly along the Westerly line of said lot,
and its Northerly prolongation, to the Northwesterly
corner of Lot 78 of said tract; thence Easterly along
the Northerly line of Lots 78, 77 and 76 of said tract
to the Northeasterly corner of said Lot 76; thence
Southerly along the Easterly line of Lots 76 and 75 of
said tract to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 75;
thence Easterly along the Northerly line of Lot 74
of said tract, and its Easterly prolongation, to the
Northeasterly corner of Lot 58 of said tract; thence
Northerly along the Westerly line of Lots 52, 53 and
54 of said tract, and its Northerly prolongation, to
a point in the center line of La Palma Avenue, as said
center line is shown on the Map of said tract; thence
Westerly along said La Palma Avenue center line to an
intersection with the Easterly line of East Street,
66 feet wide, as shown on said Map; thence Southerly
along said Easterly line of East Street to an inter-
section with the Northerly line of Wilhemlmina Street,
60 feet wide, as shown on the Map of said Tract No.
1356; thence Easterly along last said Northerly line
to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of said land included
within the present right of way of said La Palma Avenue.
ALSO EXCEPTING that portion of said land conveyed to
David A. Russell et ux. by deed recorded November 19,
1962 in Book 6327, page 239 of Official Records.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of said land
conveyed to Lloyd F. Beeson et ux. by deed recorded
May 24, 1954 in Book 2733, page 284 of Official
Records.
be excluded from R -1, ONE- FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, and incorpo-
rated in R -3, MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, upon the follow-
ing conditions:
1. That the owners of subject property shall deed to
the City of Anaheim a strip of land 40 feet in width,
from the center line of the street, along East
Street, including a 15 -foot radius corner return
at Wilhelmina Street, for street widening purposes.
2. That the owners of subject property shall deed to
the City of Anaheim a strip of land 53 feet in width,
from the center line of the street, along La Palma
Avenue, for street widening purposes.
3. That the owners of subject property shall pay to the
City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front foot,
along La Palma Avenue, East Street and Wilhelmina
Street, for street lighting purposes.
4. That the owners of subject property shall pay to the
City of Anaheim the sum of 15 per front foot,
along La Palma Avenue, East Street and Wilhelmina
Street, for tree planting purposes.

5. That sidewalks and driveways shall be installed
along La Palma Avenue and East Street, as required
by the City Engineer and in accordance with
standard plans and specifications on file in the
office of the City Engineer, prior to final
building and zoning inspections.
6. That trash storage areas shall be provided in accord-
ance with approved plans on file in the Office of the
Director of Public Works and Superintendent of
Streets, prior to final building and zoning
inspections.
7. That fire hydrants shall be installed as required
and determined to be necessary by the Chief of the
Fire Department, said fire hydrants to be installed
prior to final building and zoning inspections.
8. That all air conditioning facilities shall be
properly shielded from view and the sound buffered
from adjacent residential homes, prior to final
building and zoning inspections.
9. That the owners of subject property shall pay to the
City of Anaheim the sum of $25.00 per dwelling unit,
to be used for park and recreation purposes, said
amount to be paid at the time the building permit is
issued.
10. That access to the individual parcels shall be
provided in accordance with the "Specific Plan of
Access Exhibit A," on file with the City of
Anaheim, and all development plans shall be sub-
mitted to the Development Services Department
for review and approval, prior to the issuance of
a building permit.
11. That Conditions Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 above mentioned
shall be complied with prior to the first reading
of the ordinance reclassifying the property to
the R -3 Zone.
12. That ordinances reclassifying subject property
shall be adopted as and when each parcel is ready
to comply with the conditions pertaining to such
parcel; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that the word "parcel'
shall mean presently existing parcels of record
and any parcel or parcels approved by the City
Council for a lot split.
13. That a preliminary title report shall be furnished
prior to the adoption of an ordinance rezoning the
property, showing legal vesting of title, legal
description, and containing a map of the property.
14. That 6 -foot masonry walls shall be constructed
between subject property and the R -1 lots, said
walls to be constructed as and when the land is
developed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an ordinance amending Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to accomplish the objects herein found and deter-
mined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of April, 1968.
