1968-163WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California is contemplating the establishment of right turn
lanes on State College Boulevard north and south of La Palma
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide the required width for
right turn lanes for the right turn movement of traffic from
State College Boulevard onto La Palma Avenue, the Division of
Highways of the State of California has requested that parking
be prohibited at all times on State College Boulevard, on the
east side, from 280 feet south of La Palma Avenue to 160 feet
north of La Palma Avenue, and on the west side from 170 feet
south of La Palma Avenue to 260 feet north of La Palma Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or
prohibit the parking of vehicles on a State highway, if the
resolution is first submitted to and approved, in writing, by
the Department of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it shall be unlawful for any person
to park or leave parked any vehicle, at any time, on State
College Boulevard, on the east side, from 280 feet south of
La Palma Avenue to 160 feet north of La Palma Avenue, and on
the west side, from 170 feet south of La Palma Avenue to 260
feet north of La Palma Avenue.
