A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR
THE NEW JOB CLASSES OF POLICE OFFICER HELICOPTER
PILOT- HAZARD AND POLICE SERGEANT- HELICOPTER
PILOT- HAZARD.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Director met and conferred with officials
and employee representatives of the Anaheim Police Association in October,
1977 to discuss wages, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to create the new
job classes of Police Officer- Helicopter Pilot Hazard and Police Sergeant
Helicopter Pilot- Hazard for officers who were assigned to Helicopter duty
on October 14, 1977 who are not eligible for Master Officer Status, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
creating the new job classes of Police Officer- Helicopter Pilot- Hazard
and Police Sergeant- Helicopter Pilot Hazard is in the best interests of
the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the new job classes be established as follows:
Effective October 14, 1977 through April 13, 1978 inclusive
employees who were assigned to Helicopter duty on October 14, 1977 and who
are not eligible for Master Police Officer Status shall be assigned to the
classifications listed below and allocated to the following salary schedules
in the Salary Schedule Master.

Effective April 14, 1978 through October 12, 1978 inclusive

classifications listed below and allocated to the following salary schedules
in the Salary Schedule Master.

Section 5.
The letter "U" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees
upgraded to that job class shall be paid premium pay as provided in Personnel
Rule 6.42, Premium Pay.
Section 6.
The regular hourly rate of pay and overtime compensation for
employees listed in Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of this resolution shall be
computed as provided in Personnel Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day, and
Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay. Furthermore, said employees shall be subject to
the provisions of Section 6.03, 6.06 and 6.35 of Personnel Rule 6, Premium
Pay and the provisions of Section 15.2 of Personnel Rule 15, Holidays.
