ACTION TAKEN
1) CALL TO ORDER: The Community Services Board meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chair
Kleine.
2) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Kleine led the Board in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
3) ROLL CALL: Roll was taken, quorum confirmed.
4) UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
5) SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
6) APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Kleine presented the meeting minutes for March 12, 2026, for
Board Members' review and consideration of any necessary revisions. Board Member Barnett moved to
approve the minutes, and Board Member Lopez-Tagaloa seconded with the correction of adding an `e'
at the end of her first name. Chair Kleine received the minutes with this correction.
7) NEW BUSINESS:
a. Community Services Board Elections. Chair Kleine opened the floor for nominations for the
positions of Chair and Vice Chair. Board Member Barnett nominated Steven Kleine for Chair.
Hearing no additional nominations, the Board unanimously elected Steven Kleine as Chair.
Chair Kleine then opened nominations for Vice Chair. Board Member Barnett nominated Steven
Douglas for Vice Chair. Hearing no additional nominations, the Board unanimously elected
Steven Douglas as Vice Chair.
b. FY26/27 Funding Cycle: Housing & Community Development, Senior Administrative Analyst
Linda Ly provided an update on the FY26/27 funding cycle. The Housing & Community
Development Board elected to move forward with the new guideline of $25,000 minimum
recommendation. This recommendation will go before the City Council on July 14th for approval.
8) INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: None.
9) ADJOURNMENT: Chair Kleine adjourned the meeting at 5:51 p.m. and reported that the next meeting
is scheduled for September 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
