AGENDA ACTION TAKEN
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Barnes called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Rose led the Commission in reciting the Pledge of
Allegiance.
3. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Barnes presented the minutes of the May 21, 2026
meeting. Vice -Chair Brio made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Commissioner
Baltazar. The vote was five Ayes and no Nayes.
4. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
5. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
6. NEW BUSINESS: None.
7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
a. Basic Needs Resource List — Commissioner Rose distributed the Basic Needs Resource List
she prepared of agencies that provide resources to Anaheim residents. She suggested having
it available for older adults to pick up at district meetings and other events held for the public.
Commissioner Sanchez suggested that this information should be included on the City
Website as well. Maureen Richardson stated that they will compare this list to the resources
listed on the website and add any that are missing.
8. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
a. Vice -Chair Brio reported that he recently interviewed Council Member Meeks and shared it
on the Anaheim Hills Buzz, Nextdoor app, and on his U-Tube channel. He has two additional
interviews coming up; one at Anaheim Hills Library with Lucky Duran, and one with Elizabeth
Hernandez from Oak Canyon Nature Center, which is celebrating its 501" anniversary.
b. Commissioner Sanchez discussed the Los Alamitos Older Adults Master Plan and asked if
Anaheim has done anything like that in the past or have plans to do so in the future. He
suggested inviting the group that put the Los Alamitos plan together to give a presentation
and learn how they went about compiling this information.
