A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM PERTAINING TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT OF CERTAIN
REPRESENTED EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim determines the terms and conditions of
employment by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue the present resolutions
covering wages, hours and conditions of employment in effect for classifications
in the Fire Employees Unit and Peace Officers Unit; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend said resolutions to be
effective October 14, 1977, upon the condition that the majority represent-
ative for each appropriate unit of representation concurs in writing with the
recommendations of the City Management representative prior to December 9,
1977, and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the wages, salaries and
conditions of employment presently existing are subject to meeting and confer-
ring under the provisions of the Meyers Milias -Brown Act and, therefore, are
indefinite and subject to future determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the present resolutions covering employee wages, hours and condi-
tions of employment for classifications in the Fire Employees Unit and Peace
Officers Unit remain in effect to and including December 8, 1977.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the majority representative
of a unit of representation concurs in writing on or before December 8, 1977,
with the City Management representative's recommendations, then the resolution
adopted by the City Council for wages, hours and conditions of employment for
said unit shall be effective October 14, 1977.
