The City of Anaheim is currently experiencing rapid
residential development. Due to the warm climate
of the area, many new homes are being built with
swimming pools and such pools are also being added
to many existing houses. During construction of a
significant number of such pools, damage has occur-
red to the public streets and other public improve-
ments. Debris and construction material have also
often been left in the public right -of -way. Such
conditions are detrimental to the public health,
safety and general welfare. Consequently, it is
necessary to amend the Uniform Building Code, 1976
Edition, to adequately assure that such conditions
will be expeditiously corrected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
together with a copy of the Ordinance adopting the herein specified
amendment to the Uniform Building Code, 1976 Edition, be filed with
the State Department of Housing and Community Development.
