A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR FUNDS
UNDER THE ROBERTI Z'BERG URBAN OPEN -SPACE AND
RECREATION PROGRAM ACT (S.B. 174) FOR DEVELOP-
MENT OF SANTA ANA CANYON PARK SITE NO. 2 AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the State of California under the Roberti
Z'Berg Urban Open -Space Recreation Program Act (S.B. 174) (herein-
after "Act has authorized the establishment of a state fund for
partial funding of open -space and recreational area development by
local agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has heretofore completed
development of Peralta Canyon Park (Santa Ana Canyon Park Site No.
1) in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City is eligible to apply for the funding
of Santa Ana Canyon Park Site No. 2 development under the provi-
sions of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the application for, and approval of, said
funding will provide the necessary financial resources to enable
the City to initiate the Santa Ana Canyon Park Site No. 2 develop-
ment project; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the guidelines established
by the State for funding under said Act, the City of Anaheim will
be required to fund twenty -five percent (25 of the project which
funds are available and will be contributed to said project by the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City will also receive Fifty Thousand
Dollars (50,000.00) in revenue sharing funds from the County of
Orange to assist with this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby approve the filing of an applica-
tion under the Roberti Z'Berg Urban Open -Space and Recreation
Program Act for the funding of development of Santa Ana Canyon
Park Site No. 2 within the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Anaheim certifies that the City understands the assurances and
requirements of the application and certifies that it will comply
with the regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements as
they relate to the application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Anaheim certifies that the City has funds from the following
sources County of Orange revenue sharing funds, Proposition 13
bail -out funds, and funds received under the State Bond Act of
1976.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Anaheim certifies that the City meets the planning requirements
and that the project is compatible with the land use plans of those
jurisdictions immediately surrounding the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized as agent of the City
to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents in-
cluding, but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments,
billing statements, and so on which may be necessary for the com-
pletion of the aforementioned project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 4th day of September, 1979.
