A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NO. 1872
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive an application for a conditional use permit
from ELIZABETH SCHAFER, owner, and REV. ROBERT L. EDWARDS,
agent, to permit an extension of time for the keeping of
bees on certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lot A of Tract No. 9201, as shown on map
recorded in Book 380, Pages 23, 24, 25 and
26 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said
Orange County, California; and The East
half of Lots 9 and 16 of Helen and Lynch's
Addition to Anaheim, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 442, page 158 of Deeds,
records of Los Angeles County, Ca. Except
ing therefrom a strip 30 feet wide along
the East line. Also excepting therefrom
the following: Beginning at the Northeast
corner of said Lot 9; thence South 88° 54'
42" West 239.06 feet along the North line
of said Lot 9 to the true point of beginning;
thence South 0 10' 08" East 142. feet
along a line parallel to the East line of
Lot 9; thence North 88° 54' 42" East 73.63
feet; thence South 0° 10' 08" East 91.61
feet to a point on a curve concave South-
easterly for a radius of 45.00 feet; thence
Southeasterly along said curve from a
tangent bearing South 70 10' 12" East an
arc distance of 81.33 feet to a reverse
curve having a radius of 45.00 feet, a
radial from this point having a bearing of
North 56 36' 42" West; thence Southerly
10.2.7 feet along said curve through a
central angle of 13° 04' 12 thence North
89° 01' 14" East 118.24 feet to the West
line of the East 30.00 feet of said Lot 9;
thence along said West line North 0° 10'
08" West 310.84 feet to the North line of
said Lot 9; thence along said North line
South 88° 54' 42" West 209.06 feet to the
true point of beginning.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing upon said application at the City Hall in the City of
Anaheim, notices of which public hearing were duly given as re-
quired by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.03 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investi-
gation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. PC 78 -193, granting
Conditional Use Permit No. 1872 and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within the time prescribed by law,
an interested party or the City Council, on its own motion, caused
the review of said Planning Commission action at a duly noticed
public hearing; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful consider-
ation of the recommendations of the City Planning Commission and
all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that:
1. The proposed use is properly one for which a conditional
use permit is authorized by the Anaheim Municipal Code.
2. The proposed use will not adversely affect the adjoining
land uses and the growth and development of the area in which it
is proposed to be located.
3. The size and shape of the site proposed for the use is
adequate to allow the full development of the proposed use in a
manner not detrimental to the particular area nor to the peace,
health, safety and general welfare.
4. The traffic generated by the proposed use will not im-
pose an undue burden upon the streets and highways designed and
improved to carry the traffic in the area.
5. The granting of the conditional use permit under the
conditions imposed will not be detrimental to the peace, health,
safety and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission
granting said conditional use permit be, and the same is
hereby, affirmed and that Conditional Use Permit No. 1872 be,
and the same is hereby, granted permitting the keeping of not more
than nine beehives on the hereinabove described property, subject
to the following conditions:
1. That subject property shall be developed substan-
tially in accordance with plans and specifications on file with
the City of Anaheim marked Exhib No. 1.

2. That said conditional use permit shall expire
on August 14, 1980.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to
revoke such Conditional Use Permit for good cause or failure
of said owners, their heirs, successors or assigns to comply
with the Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and the
conditions herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of November, 1979.
