A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO, 1350
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for zoning variance from

of Orange, State of California, described as follows

County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of West Street, 66
feet in width, distant thereon 201.85 feet Northerly from
the intersection of said center line with the center line of
Ball Road, 60 feet in width, and running thence Southerly
along said center line of West Street, 201.85 feet to said
center line of Ball Road; thence Westerly along said center
line of Ball Road, 196.70 feet; thence Northerly, at right
angles to said center line of Ball Road, to an intersection
with a line which is at right angles to said center line of
West Street and which passes through the point of beginning;
thence Easterly to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the Cit Hall in the City of Anaheim on
January 30 19b/ notice of which said public hearing
was duly given as requirec" law and the provisions of Title 18,
Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No.PC67 Series
1 den in Variance No. 1850 and
WHEREAS, therafter, within twenty -two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal
was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim protesting
the action of the City Planning Commission denying said
variance, and said appeal was set for public hearing on
February 28 19 67 at 7 :00 ooclock P.M. at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18,
Chapter 15.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, after Niue investigation and studies made by
itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all the
evidence and reports offered at said hearing, the City Council
does find and determine that:
1. There is no substantial property fight. _possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be
adequately developed and used under the present
zone.
NOW, THEREiORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission

denying Variance No. 1850 be, and the same is hereby sustained,
and that the petition of Atlantic Richfield Oil Company for a
zoning variance permitting a waiver of the maximum height of a
free standing sign (Section 18.62.090(B -2) of the Anaheim
Municipal Code, on the property hereinbefore described, be,
and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 14th day of March, 1967.
