A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGPEE ENT (C.L.D. NO. 15926)
BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE LOS ANGELES SALT
LAKE RAILROAD CO I?ANY AND ITS LESSEE, UNION
PACIFIC RAILROAD CON 'ANY, t'rITH REFERENCE TO
THE INSTALLATIOTv OF FLASHING LIGHT SIGNALS
AT LINCOLN AVENUE CROSSING NO. 3Y -20.1.
WHEREAS, the California Public Utilities Commission,
in its Decision No. 71563, dated November 22, 1966, ordered
installation of two Standard No. 8 flashing light signals at
the Lincoln Avenue crossing of the Los Angeles Salt Lake
Railroad Company and its lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company,
Crossing No. 3Y -20.1, City of Anaheim, California; and
WHEREAS, the City and said Railroad Companies desire
to provide for such installation; and
WHEREAS, said Railroad Companies have tendered to the
City an Agreement, numbered C.L.D. 15926, to be made and entered
into between the City and said Railroad Companies, providing for
the installation of two Standard No. 8 flashing light signals at
said Lincoln Avenue Crossing No. 3Y -20.1, upon the terms and con-
ditions and for the estimated cost hereinafter set forth, which
agreement the City Council finds would be for the benefit and
best interest of the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement (designated "C.L.D. No.
15926') tendered to the City of Anaheim by the Los Angeles
Salt Lake Railroad Company and its lessee, Union Pacific Rail-
road Company, providing for the installation of two Standard
No. 8 flashing light signals at Lincoln Avenue Crossing No.
3Y -20.1, City of Anaheim, upon the terms and conditions, and for
the estimated cost as follows:
1. The Railroad Companies, with the expense being
chargeable fifty per cent (50%) to the Railroad
Companies and fifty per cent (50 to the City,
shall, at the location hereinabove referred to,
install two (2) flashing light signals (o. 8
Standard of the Public Utilities Commission of
the State of California), including necessary
circuits, all work to conform to the requirements
of the Public Utilities Commission of the State
of California. Total estimated expense for said
work is Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Twenty Dollars
($15,120.00).
2. The reimbursement of the Railroad Companies by the
City, as set forth above in Paragraph 1, shall be
made within thirty (30) days of rendition of bill
therefor. Such cost shall include the actual cost
of labor and material, plus customary additives,
and is estimated to be Seven Thousand Five Hundred
Sixty Dollars ($7,560.00) chargeable to the City.

It is understood that said amount is an estimate
only and that actual cost shall govern. Bills
rendered by the Railroad Companies shall be
supported by itemized invoices showing unit
prices of materials and unit rates on labor and
equipment.
3. Maintenance cost of said signals and appurtenances
shall be divided in the same proportion as the cost
of constructing said automatic grade crossing pro-
tection in accordance with Section 1202.2 of the
California Public Utilities Code.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to sign said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 23rd day of January, 1968.
