A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE
CITY OF ANAELII: ESTABLISHING RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR THE ADT- INISTRATIO v PRO-
CEDURE IN THE FILING AND PROCt•SSING OF
SUBDIVISIO N ALPS WITHIIN TIE CITY OF
ANAHEIm, AND RESCINDING F<ESOLUTIO:v NO. 3226.
WHEREAS, Title 17, Chapter 17.08, Section 17.08.200
of the Anaheim -iunicipal Code authorizes the City Council, from
time to time by resolution, to establish rules and regulations
for the administrative procedure in the filing and processing
of subdivision maps within the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the procedure for the filing and pro-
cessing of subdivision maps, pursuant to Title 17, hapter
17.08, Section 17.08.200 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and
it is hereby, established as follows:
1. At least twenty -four (24) days prior to the Planning
Commission meeting, the Subdivider shall file seventeen
(17) copies of the tentative map with the Development
Services Director. If more than one tract is shown on
a map, the Subdivider shall file seventeen (17) copies
of the map for each tract.
2. The Development Services Director shall stamp the dates
of the Interdepartmental Committee for Public Safety and
General Welfare and Planning Commission, meetings at
which the tentative map will be reviewed on each map
sheet, and distribute copies of the map, as follows:

Water Division 1
Engineering Division 2
Public Works Director 1
City Manager 1
Parks and Recreation Department 1
Zoning Division 1
Anaheim Union Sign School District 1
Elementary School District 1
Orange County Flood Control District 1
Orange County Water District 1
Other City or County 1
(if located: within half mile of
city limits)
State Division of Highways 1
(if adjacent to an existing or
proposed highway)
Pacific Telephone 1
Southern Counties Gas Co. 1
Federal mousing Administration 1
3. The Development Services Director shall place the tentative
nap on the Interdepartmental Committee for Public Safety
and General Welfare and Planning Commission agenda and
shall advise the Subdivider and his Engineer as to the time
and place of the meetings.

4. The Interdepartmental Committee for Public Safety and
General Welfare shall meet on the Monday preceding the
Planning Commission meeting except where said Committee
shall temporarily or permanently change this date.
Said Committee shall be composed of representatives of
the City Manager's Office, City Attorney's Office,
Engineering Division, Public Works Department, Zoning
Division, Building Division, Fire Department and Public
Utilities Department. Said Committee shall preview each
subdivision :nap and forward its recommendations and /or
suggestions, in writing, to the Planning Commission and
the Subdivider. The Subdivider and/or his Engineer shall
be notified of said meeting and encouraged to attend said
meeting.
5. The Planning Commission shall review the tentative mad' and
the recommendations any: /or suggestions of the Interdepart-
mental Committee for Public Safety and General Welfare,
and may adopt such recommendations or suggestions in whole
or in part or may impose additional conditions to the
approval of said map.
6. The Development Services Director shall report, in writing,
the action taken by the Planning Commission to the City
Clerk and the Subdivider.
7. The City Council shall review the tentative map, as well
as the action and recommendations of the Planning Commis-
sion.
J. The City Clerk shall notify the Subdivider of the action
taken by the City Council.
9. After the City Council has approved or conditionally ap-
proved the tentative .reap, the Subdivider' s Engineer may
file a final map with the City Engineer by filing two (2)
prints of the title sheet an d nine (9) prints of each 'may;:
sheet. At the time of filing the final map with the City
Engineer, the final map filing fee and the advance deposit
for the checking fee shall be paid.
10. The City Engineer shall keep two (2) prints of the title
sheet and each map sheet and shall distribute the remaining
prints of the map sheets as follows:

Zoning Division
Electrical Division
Water Division

11. The City Engineer shall check the final chap and shall
return one (1) print, with corrections, to the Subdivider's
Engineer.
12. The Subdivider's Engineer shall submit to the City Engineer
documents for checking, as follows:
Sewer and Water Improvement Plans 3 sets
Street Improvement Plans 3 sets
Grading Plan 2 copies
Plot Plan, showing driveway
locations 2 copies
13. The City Engineer shall check the sewer and water and
street improvement plans, grading plan and plot plan and
shall return one (1) set, with corrections, to the Sub-
divider's Engineer.
14. The City Engineer snall determine the fee and bond amounts
and shall advise the Subdivider. Bond must be posLed and
fees paid at least eleven (11) days prior to the City
Council meeting at which the final map is to be submitted
for approval.
15. The Subdivider shall post the original and one (1) copy of
the bond with the City Engineer, who shall forward the
original to the City Attorney for his approval as to form.
16. The City Council shall act on the final map, and, if ap-
proved, the City Clerk shall sign the map to certify the
action of the City Council provided the Subdivider has
complied fully with all conditions prerequisite to the
approval of said map.
17. The City Engineer shall determine the amount of the check-
ing fee. The checking fee must be paid prior to the City
Engineer approving the street and/or sewer and water im-
provement plans.
18. The Subdivider shall obtain a grading permit. For hill-
side subdivisions, the Subdivider must pay checking and
grading fees, post the original and one (1) copy of the
grading bond and have the grading plan approved by the
Building Division and City Engineer prior to the issuance
of a grading permit. The grading bond shall be approved
as to form by the City Attorney.
19. The City Engineer shall approve the plot plan as to the
location of driveways.
20. The Subdivider's Engineer shall submit the sewer and water
and street improvement plans for approval by the Public
Utilities Director and the City Engineer.
21. The Subdivider shall provide documents to the City
Engineer, as follows:
A. Recorded tract map
1. A cronaflex of the title sheet and each
map sheet.
2. Nine (9) prints of each map sheet.
3. Two (2) prints of the title sheet.
B. Approved improvement plans, plot plan and grading plan
1. Four (4) prints of each sheet of the sewer
and water improvement plans.
2. Five (5) prints of each sheet of the street
improvement plans.
3. Two (2) prints of each sheet of the plot plan.
4. Three (3) prints of the grading plan.
22. After all required improvements are constructed, the Sub-
divider may request final acceptance of the subdivision in
its entirety. The City of Anaheim shall not give final
acceptance of the improvements until all recuired improve-
ments have been installed.

23. The City Engineer shall determine the amount of the inspec-
tion fee, which the Subdivider must pay to the City prior
to the release of the subdivision bond.
24. After completion of all required improvements, the City
Engineer shall issue a letter giving full acceptance of the
improvements and authorizing tie release of the subdivision
bond.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 5226 be,
and the same is hereby rescinded.
