A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CITY RECORDS
MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD.
WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the
State of California authorizes the destruction of certain records
of the City upon approval of the legislative body of the City, and
with the written consent of the City Attorney, provided that said
records do not fall within certain specified categories; and
WHEREAS, the following described documents in the
possession of the Anaheim City Clerk's Office are more than two
years old and are documents which are authorized for destruction
under the provisions of said Section 34090 of the Government Code
without making a copy thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim has
determined that said documents are no longer needed or required;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the determination of
the City Clerk and finds the destruction of the records in the
best interests of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim does by the
approval of this resolution hereby give his written consent for
the destruction of the listed records.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and
she is hereby, authorized to destroy immediately, in a lawful
manner, the following described documents under her charge without
making any copies thereof, to wit:
1. Spoiled and unspoiled ballots for general municipal
elections from 1976-1982.
2. Election materials - Precinct Rosters & Petitions from
1976-1982.
3. Business License Records from 1963 and 1964.
4. Warehouse Orders - Unidentified from 1963-1964.
5. Unidentified Adding Machine Tapes from 1950-1960.
6. Annual Reports from Police, Library and City Engineer
from 1930-1965.
7. Copies of Parking Citations from 1948-1950.

8. Public Improvement Contracts (microfilmed) from
1950-1960.
9. Purchase Requisitions from 1978.
--~ 10. Mayor and Councilmembers' Print Requisitions, Expense
Claims, and Requisitions for Property Maintenance from
1979.
11. General Correspondence Files Re: Requests for Claim
Forms, Incomplete Claims from 1977-1980.
12. Medallion Home Agreements 1966-1972.
13. Parks and Recreation Employment Agreements from
1981-1982.
14. Unsuccessful Bids for Public Works Jobs from 1980-1982.
15. Record of Division of Highways Design Public Hearing
covering Anaheim Boulevard to Haster Street
Overcrossing.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon destruction
of the foregoing records, a certificate of destructions sha]_1
be executed and the original thereof filed in the office of the
City Clerk together with a copy of this resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
this llthday of June 1985.
