A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF HIDDEN CANYON
ROAD, SOUTH OF SERRANO AVENUE. (84-14A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public. Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of July, 1985, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the
public convenience and necessity require the reservation and
exception of the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter
specifically described.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of
Hidden Canyon Road, south of Serrano Avenue, more specifically
described as follows:
That portion of land located in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, being those
portions of the easements dedicated to the City of
Anaheim, a municipal corporation, by deed recorded in
Book 11576, pages 337 et seq, of Official Records,
together with Parcel 2 of the land dedicated to the
City of Anaheim, a municipal corporation, by deed
recorded in Book 11402, pages 603, et seq. of
Official Records, which are set forth for public road
purposes, spot roadside landscaping and sidewalk
purposes, and which are more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southeasterly line of
Serrano Avenue, being the northerly terminus of that
course described as N 44° 56' 31" E, 22.00 feet for
Parcel 2, of the above-mentioned deed, recorded in
Book 11402. page 603 of Official Records, said point
being the point of cusp at the beginning of a curve
tangent to said southeasterly line of Serrano Avenue,
concave southeasterly, having a radius of 25.00 feet;
thence southerly and southeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 90° 00' 00" an arc
distance of 39.27 feet; thence tangent to said curve
S 45° 03' 29" E, 51.00 feet; thence S 44° 56' 31" W,
15.00 feet; thence S 45° 03' 29" E, 220.15 feet to
the beginning of a curve concave southwesterly having
a radius of 527.00 feet; thence southeasterly along
said curve through a central angle of 6° 12' 05" an
arc distance of 57.04 feet to a point on a curve
concave northwesterly having a radius of 119.00 feet,
a radial line of said curve having a radius of 527.00
feet to said point bears N 51° 08' 36" E, a radial
line of said curve having a radius of 119.00 feet to
said point bears S 28° 12' 35" E; thence Westerly
along said curve concave northwesterly through a
central angle of 29° 29' 02" an arc distance of 61.23
feet to a point on a curve concave southwesterly
having a radius of 473.00 feet; a radial line of said
curve having a radius of 119.00 feet to said point
bears S 1° 16' 27" W, a radial line of said curve
having a radius of 473.00 feet to said point bears N
47° 59' 43" E; thence northwesterly along said curve
concave southwesterly through a central angle of 3°
03' 12" an arc distance of 25.21 feet; thence tangent
to said curve N 45° 03' 29" W, 297.15 feet to a point
on the southeasterly line of Serrano Avenue; thence
along said line N 44° 56' 31" E, 27.00 feet; thence S
45° 03' 29" E, 1.00 foot; thence N 44° 56' 31" E,
67.00 feet to the point of beginning.
The City of Anaheim reserves and retains from the
above said easements recorded in Book 11576, pages
337 et seq. and Book 11402, pages 603 et seq., both
of Official Records easement rights for public
utilities, sewer and storm drain access.
Also Reserving therefrom for Pacific Bell an easement
to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain,
,~., repair, replace and remove such aerial and
underground telephone, telegraph and communication
structures as the company may from time to time
require, consisting of poles, anchors, wires, cables,
conduits, manholes, markers and necessary fixtures
and appurtenances over, under and across the area to
be abandoned. Said easement is subordinant to the
easements retained by the City of Anaheim.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
,.-.. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in`the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of July, 1985.
