A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CQUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED
UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON JULY 27, 1967
FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOB NO. 1100, UNIT II.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wi~, on the 5th day of July,
1967, the City Council of the City o~ Anaheim did adopt Resolu-
tion No. 67R-369 finding and determining that public convenience
and necessity required the construct~on and completion of a
public improvement consisting of the construction of a wall at
Stoddard Park, on Ninth Street, from approximately 600 feet to
approximately 1300 feet south of Kat~lla Avenue, in the City
of Anaheim, Job No. 1100, Unit II; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water and'performing all work neces-
sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and
fixing the 27th day of July, 1967 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and
wtiEREAS, upon said 27th day of July, 1967, at the
hours of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and the City Engineer
did open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
tabulate all bids so received and did report the result thereof
to the City Council at its next regular meeting held on the 1st
day of August, 1967; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement, and that said bids should be
rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2;00 o'clock P.t1. on July 27, 1967, tabulated by the City
Engineer, and submitted to the Council on August 1, 1967, for
the construction of a wall at Stoddard Park, on Ninth Street,
from approximately 600 feet to approximately 1300 feet south of
Katella Avenue, in the city of Anaheim, Job No. 1100, Unit II,
be, and the same are hereby rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 1st day of August, 1967.
