RESOLUTION N0. 85R- 4 2 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR UNREPRESENTED PART-TIME JOB CLASSIFICATIONS WITH FULL-TIME EQUIVALENTS, AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION N0. 84R-58 AND AMENDMENTS THERETO. WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated September 24, 1985 that the rates of compensation for selected unrepresented part-time classifications be adjusted; and WHEREAS, the need exists to supersede Resolution No. 84R-58 and amendments thereto which established rates of compensation for certain selected unrepresented part-time classifications; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates of compensation for these job classes is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: Section 1. The appropriate department head shall designate which positions shall be assigned bilingual duties. The Human Resources Director shall conduct a test of competency for employees whose positions have been assigned bilingual duties to certify these employees eligible for bilingual pay. The letter "A" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees in those job classes are eligible for consideration for merit pay increases every 520 hours. The letter "B" preceding a schedule number indicates consideration for merit pay increases every 1040 hours through the C step and every 2080 hours through the E step. The letter 'C' preceding a schedule number indicates consideration for merit pay increase every 1040 hours. The regular hourly rate of pay and overtime compensation for employees working in job classes listed in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be computed as provided in Personnel Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day, and Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay. Employees hired to work part-time for thirty hours per week on an ongoing basis in any of the classifications listed in Section 1 of this Resolution will be paid retirement benefits as defined by current Public Employment Retirement System Law. The payment of the retirement contribution by the City or the employee shall be made in the same manner as those paid for equivalent full time job classifications. Cantinas Fi The provisions of this Resolution shall supersede Resolution No. 84R-58 and amendments thereto. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this resolution shall be October 4, 1985.
