A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING CERTAIN STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND
SERVICE EASEMENTS. (84-23A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by
resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate certain
public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant to the
Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of November, 1985, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the streets, highways or public service easements
hereinafter specifically described are unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
i10W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ci'iy'Council of
t~~e City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of certain public
utility easements, more specifically described in Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Orange
County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this
resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the
County of Orange.

Those certain easements located in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Parcel 1: Those portions of the Grant of Easement to Southern
California Edison Company, a Corporation, recorded November 2, 1955,
in Book 3269, page 30 of Official Records, described as follows:
Parcel A. The East 10 feet of the West 17 feet of Lot 2,
as shown on Licensed Surveyor's Map filed in
Book 2, pace 39 of Record of Surveys, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange
County.
Parcel B. The South 10 feet of the North 95 feet of
said Lot 2.
Parcel C. A 10 foot wide strip of land in said Lot 2,
the centerline of which is described as
follows: Becrinning at an existing Southern
California Edison Company Pole No. 333996E
located on or near the North line of said
lot and approximately 617 feet Easterly,
measured thereon from the West line thereof;
thence Southerly parallel with said t~7est line
to a point ir. the South line thereof.
Parcel 2: That portion of a Grar.t of Easement to Southern Califor::i.a

pace 513, of_ Official Records, said portion being a 10.00 foot wide strip
of Land in Lot 3, as shown on Licensed Surveyor's zap filed ir. Book 2,
pace 39 of Record of Surveys, in the office of said County Recorder, the
centerline of said strip being siescr.ibed as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of an existing Southern
California Edison Cor!mp_anv electric line with the North line of said
Lot 3, which point of intersection is approximately 617 feet Easterly
measured thereon from the West line of said lot; thence Southerly
parallel with said iJest line to the Southerly line of said Lot 3.
NGTE: The easements described in the above Parcels 1 and 2 have been
acquired by the City of Anaheim as successor.
Parcel 3: The easement reser~~ed for the City of Anaheim and Southern
California Gas Company, to accomodate existing electrical facilities
and gas lines in Resolution 76R-519 of the Anaheim City Council, recorded
September 7, 1976 in Book 11879, pace 1374 of Official Records. Said
easement is ever, along and across that certain 0.18th of an acre parcel
of land located in the Thomas Yorba Allotment of the Rancho Canyon de
Santa Ana described in the deed to the County of Orange recorded
March 14, 1967 in Boo Y, 8198, pae~e 227 et seq. of Official Records.

Parcel 4: That certain easement for an electric distribution line
acquired from Southern California Edison Company. Said easement,
which crossed a portion of the right of way of the Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railway Company, is set forth in a License with said
railroad, dated February 13, 1973, approved and authorized by
Anaheim City Council Resolution 73R-143 of the same date.
The location of said easement is set forth on Division Engineer's
Drawing No. L-3-32365 attached hereto.
NOTE: The above Parcels 1, 2 & 3 are contained within Parcels 3 &
14 of Parcel Map 83-227, filed in Book 184, pages 3-6 of Parcel Maps
in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County.
A portion of the above described Parcel 4 is contained within Parcel 3
of said Parcel Map and overlaps a portion of the hereinabove described
Parcel 3.
