A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC WORK.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement (Project) in
the City of Anaheim described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepare or cause to be prepared detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the
construction of said Project; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has prepared or
caused to be prepared said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for the construction of said Project
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
Project above mentioned are in accordance with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area
for the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are
adequate for the construction of said Project and should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said Project hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Project shall be
constructed in accordance with said detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications as hereby approved, and such
addenda or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
~°- publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications the Project hereinabove mentioned and described,
and fixing the Bid Opening Date as set forth in Exhibit A at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of
said bids at the City Council Chamber in the Civic Center in the
City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim for the construction, installation and completion
of said Project hereinabove mentioned and described, in accordance
.~ with the plans and specifications, the notice inviting sealed
proposals, this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or
Code Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the
time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of December, 1985.

Fire Station No. 3, located at 1580 South Clementine Street, in
the City of Anaheim, consists of, but is not limited to, the
demolition of the existing fire station, its fire hose test
vault, parking area and other features as designated; removal
and proper disposal of all demolition, excavation for
underground piping, conduit, footing, trenches, etc., backfill
and compaction; construction of concrete footings and slab on
grade; construction of a single story wood structure with stucco
exterior finish, built-up roof with skylites and higher ceiling
in the apparatus room; curb, gutter, driveway, access ramps and
paving improvements; plumbing, HVAC, finish carpentry,
electrical and mechanical; landscaping, planting, irrigation
systems and construction of concrete block wall. All work shall
be accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications
on file in the office of the City Engineer.
