1967-407 .""...... .'1 T - RESOLUTION NO. 67R-ftG7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <l>F THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 63R- 9lQ, PERSONNEL RULE 4i9 PROBATION. . BE IT ,RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIl OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that Personnel Rule #9 Probation is hereby amend~d to read as follows: RULE 9. PROBATION Section 9.0 Employees appointed from e1igi~i1ity lists and reinstated employees shall be subject to a period of probation. The regular period of probation shall be thirteen complete biw~ekly pay periods unless otherwise specified for certain designated job classes. The probationary period may be extended in individual cases., No probationary period may extend beyond twenty-six complete biweekly pay periods. 9.01 Upon succeSfful completion of a probationary period, an employee shall be granted regUlar status ip the classifica- tion in which the probationary period is served. Section 9.1 The work and conduct of probationary employees shall be subject to close scrutiny and evaluation, and, if found to be below. standards satisfactory to the appointing authority, the appropriate department head may reject the probationer at any tUne during the probationary period. Such rejections shall not be subject to review or appeal unless such a rejection is alleged to be contrary to the pro- visions of the Personnel Ordinance and/or Personnel Resolution. 9.11 An employee rejected during the probationary period from a position to which he has been promoted shall be returned to the classification in which he has regular status unless the reasons for his failure to complete his probationary period would be cause for dismissal from City service. Section 9.2 An employee shall be retained beyond the end of the proba- tionary period only if the appropriate department head affirms that the services of the employee have found to be satisfactory.
