APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFlCATIONS FOR THE C NSTRUCTIONTHEREOF;
AUTUORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION I OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITHI SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORI!ING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A OTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CON TRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience ~ndnecessity require the
construction and completion of a publi~ improvement in the City
o~ Anaheim, to wit: .
Construction of the Anaheim Filtratio~ Plant, adjacent to Walnut
Canyon Reservoir, in the City of Anah~im, consisting of furnish-
ing, constructing and installing, cO~lete in place, two Hard-
inge A.B.W. filters (turnished by Cit ), all concrete, miscel-
laneous steel work, building pipes, e terior 20-inch influent
pipe, valves, sluice gates, sump pump~, plumbing, utility water
lines, sampling pumps, shower, operatpr air compressor, air lines,
steel building to house filtration pl~nt, chlorination system,
booster pump, bypass piping, relief v~lves, instrument airlines,
14-inch flow meter, butterfly valves, flow transmitter, flow
recorder-controller, flow totalizer, ~emote-set-point adjust equip-
ment, graphic panel, electrical syste~ (277/480 volt, 3-phase,
4-wire), heating and ventilating system, one engine generator
(furnished by City), EG set radiator (furnished by City), EG set
control panel (furnished by City), foundation for engine set,
fuel tank and pump, air compressor an~ receiver, controls for
EG set, 208-480Y/277 volt transformer, balancing reservoir tank,
30-inch, class 150 concrete cylinder pipe or steel pipe mortar
lined and coated; including excavatiop, backfill, bedding and
all site work for the filtration plan~, and appurtenant work as
I'llOre particularly set forth in the plans and specifications on
file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Work Order
No . 6005.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counci~ instructed ~

and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council fi*ds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings andlspecifications for said

envineering practice and are adequate 0 serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim an. the citizens and
