A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF PUBLIC RIGHT
OF WAY COMMONLY KNOWN AS MANCHESTER AVENUE,
LYING EAST OF HASTER STREET, NORTH OF KATELLA
AVENUE. (81 -23.A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate cer-
tain public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant
to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law;
and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of May, 1982, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the public
convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception of
the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter specifically
described.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not re-
served and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of
Manchester .Avenue, more specifically described as follows:
That certain portion of dedicated public roadway, com-
monly known as, Manchester Avenue, lying within that
portion of the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quar-
ter of Section 23, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in
the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 51, page 7, Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange county, California, described as follows:

Beginning at a point in that certain course described
as S 34° 24' 39" W, a distance of 122.84 feet in the
westerly boundary of the land described in that certain
Director's Deed contained in Document No. 25829 filed
July 9, 1952 in the Registrar of Titles, Records of said
Orange County, said point being northerly 62.39 feet
from the southerly terminus of said course; thence
along a different basis of bearing and along said west-
erly boundary N 35° 27' 11" E, 60.46 feet and N 77° 56'
36" E, 29.00 feet to a point in a non - tangent curve in
the northerly boundary of the land described in said
Director's Deed, said curve being concave northeasterly,
having a radius of 780.00 feet, a radial line passing
through said point bears S 31° 38' 14" W; thence South-
easterly along said curve and along said northerly bound-
ary, through a central angle of 4 14' 15 ", an arc
distance of 57.69 feet; thence S 62 36' 01" E, 144.57
feet to the beginning of a curve concave southwesterly,
having a radius of 970.00 feet; thence Southeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 8 46' 10"
an arc distance of 148.46 feet; thence N 49 42' 34" W,
124.32 feet; thence N 53° 31' 40" W, 196.29 feet to the
beginning of a non - tangent curve concave northeasterly,
having a radius of 733.00 feet, a radial line passing
through the point of beginning of last said curve bears
S 29 09' 50 "W; thence .Northwesterly along last said
curve through a central angle of 8 26' 43" an arc dis-
tance of 108.04 feet to a point on a non - tangent curve
concave southeasterly, having a radius of 10.00 feet,
a radial line passing through last said point bears N
28 45' 33" W; thence Southwesterly along last said
curve through a central angle of 52° 31' 09" an arc
distance of 9.17 feet; thence S 8 43' 18" W, 133.01
feet to the point of beginning.
RESERVING unto the City of Anaheim an easement for public
utility purposes including, but not limited to, power
poles, power lines, water lines, fire hydrants, sanitary
sewer and storm drain purposes, over, under and across
the entire parcel above described, together with all rea-
sonable rights of ingress and egress.
RESERVING unto the Pacific Telephone Company an easement to
construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain, repair, re-
place and remove such aerial and underground telephone,
telegraph and communication structures as the Company may
from time to time require, consisting of poles, anchors,
wires, cables, conduits, manholes, markers and necessary
.fixtures and appurtenances over, under and across the
southerly five (5) five feet of all the land above de-
scribed, together with all reasonable rights of ingress
and egress.

This easement is subject to the prior rights of the easement
reserved unto the City of Anaheim above described. ALSO
RESERVING unto the Southern California Gas Co. an easement
together with all reasonable rights of ingress and
egress over, under, along and across the southerly
10 feet of all of the land above described.
No permanent buildings or structures to be constructed
over, under, along and across the easements above
reserved.
The above described reservation to the Southern
California Gas Co. is subject to the prior rights of
the easement reserved unto the City of Anaheim above
described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 25th day of May, 1982.
