A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING A LETTER OF UNDER-
STANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS,
LOCAL UNION NO. 47.
WHEREAS on February 24, 1982, the City Council approved Resolution
81R -82 adopting a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Anaheim
and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union No. 47,
and
WHEREAS, the City Management Representative has consulted with
staff officials of the IBEW Local 47 to discuss the practical effect of
establishing rotating shifts for certain Public Utilities Department class-
ifications; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding, dated
May 28, 1982, delineates the agreement reached on the practical effects of
installing the rotating shifts, has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
adoption o£ said Letter of Understanding is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated May 28, 1982 between the City
of Anaheim and the IBEW Local 47 is hereby approved and adopted.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of June , 1982.
