A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED
AS AMENDMENT NO. 176, EXHIBIT "A AMENDED."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the recommenda-
tions of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, adopted a
General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of May, 1982, the City Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public hearing to
consider a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designa-
tion for an area of land of approximately 156 acres generally
bounded on the north by Santa Ana Canyon Road, south by Texaco
Anaheim Hills, Inc. property, east by the future extension of Weir
Canyon Road, and west by property owned by Southern California
Edison Company; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning Com-
mission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC82 -100 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 176 be adopted by the City
Council, changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
area to Hillside Medium Density Residential, Hillside Low - Medium
Density Residential, General Commercial and General Open Space in
accordance with Exhibit "A Amended "; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of evi-
dence, report of findings and recommendations of the City Planning
Commission, the City Council did fix the 8th day of June, 1982, as
the time, and the City Council Chamber in the Civic Center as the
place for a public hearing on said proposed Amendment No. 176 and
did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an op-
portunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and
did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 176 changing the land use designation of the afore -
described area in accordance with Exhibit "A Amended" on file with
the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 176 to the Land Use Element of
the General Plan changing the land use designation for the afore -
described area to Hillside Medium Density Residential, Hillside
Low - Medium Density Residential, General Commercial and General
Open Space in accordance with Exhibit "A Amended" on file with the
City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 176 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of June, 1982.
