A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF AN EXISTING
STORM DRAIN EASEMENT LOCATED EAST OF TUSTIN
AVENUE AND SOUTH OF THE RIVERSIDE FREEWAY.
(81 -28A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by
resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate certain
public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant to
the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law;
and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of June, 1982, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of
a storm drain easement, more specifically described as follows:
THOSE PORTIONS OF STORM DRAIN EASEMENT IN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DESCRIBED AS "PARCEL A" AND "PARCEL B" WHICH LIE
WESTERLY OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED LINE:
BEGINNING AT THE MOST SOUTHEASTERLY CORNER OF PARCEL 2
AS SHOWN ON A MAP RECORDED IN STATE HIGHWAY MAP BOOK
NO. 5, PAGES 47 TO 49, INCLUSIVE, RECORDS OF ORANGE
COUNTY AND RELINQUISHED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BY
DOCUMENT RECORDED AUGUST 29, 1968, IN BOOK 8706, PAGE
1, OFFICIAL RECORDS OF ORANGE COUNTY;
THENCE ALONG THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID PARCEL 2 SOUTH
76 DEGREES 43' 42" WEST 19.03 FEET;

THENCE LEAVING SAID SOUTHERLY LINE NORTH 10 DEGREES 50'
56" WEST 282.95 FEET TO THE BEGINNING OF A TANGENT
CURVE CONCAVE EASTERLY AND HAVING A RADIUS OF 165.00
FEET:
THENCE NORTHERLY ALONG SAID CURVE THROUGH A CENTRAL
ANGLE OF 16 DEGREES 23' 38" AN ARC LENGTH OF 47.21 FEET;
THENCE TANGENT TO SAID CURVE NORTH 5 DEGREES 32' 42"
EAST 102.22 FEET TO THE NORTHERLY LINE OF THAT LAND
DESCRIBED AS "PARCEL 2" IN DEED RECORDED JULY 9, 1980,
IN BOOK 13659, PAGE 777, OFFICIAL RECORDS OF ORANGE
COUNTY.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by this
resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of this
resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County
of Orange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this
resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the
County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of June, 1982.
