A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEID4 VACATING A PORTION OF OLD SANTA
ANA CANYON ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate cer-
tain public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant
to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law;
and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
i~HEREAS, on the 14th day of July, 1981, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Counca_1 does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not re-
served and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that portion
of Old Santa Ana Canyon Road, more specifically described as
follows
That portion of land allotted to Paula Peralta de
Dominguez in Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santo
de Santa Ana, recorded in Book "B" of Judgments of
the 17th Judicial District of the Court of California,
located in the County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
All that portion of the Santa Ana Canyon Road lying
southerly of the centerline of said Santa Ana Canyon
Road, as set forth in an Instrument recorded in Book
171, page 144, Official Records of said Orange County,
and lying westerly of the nort'nwesterly line of the
right of way granted to the Santa Ana Valley Irrigation
Company by deed recorded October 9, 1947 in Book 1536,
page 487, of said Official Records.
Reserving unto the City of Anaheim all abutter's rights
of access to Santa Ana Canyon Road.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 14th day of Ju7.y, 1981.
