A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO AMEND
ORDINANCE N0. 4087 GRANTING THE NONEXCLUSIVE
RIGHT, PRIVILEGE AND FRANCHISE TO LAY AND USE
LINES, WIRES, COAXIAL CABLE AND APPURTENANCES
FOR TRANSMITTING, RECEIVING, DISTRIBUTING AND
SUPPLYING RADIO, TELEVISION AND OTHER CABLE
COMMUNICATION SERVICES ALONG, ACROSS AND UPON
THE PUBLIC STREETS, WAYS, ALLEYS, AND PLACES
WITHIN SAID CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, a non-exclusive franchise was granted to
Storer Cable T.V., Inc., for the transmitting, receiving,
distributing and supplying radio, television, and other cable
communication services within said City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Section 1401 of the Charter of the City of
Anaheim requires that the City Council pass a resolution
declaring its intention to change the terms and conditions
upon which the franchise was granted affixing a place, date
and hour when and where any person interested therein may
object to the amending of the franchise; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the people
of the City of Anaheim and to improve the service that was
originally agreed upon by Storer Cable T.V. Inc., and the City
of Anaheim, the following changes are to be made in the
attached section to Ordinance No. 4087:

CHANNEL 3 - GOVERNMENT ACCESS
This channel will be originated from the governmental centez
using an alpha-numerical chazacter generatoz and keyboazd.
The channel will pzovide the City immediate access to the
public. A multitude of infozmation can be provided, such as,
Council Agenda, Reczeation Activities, areas undez constzuc-
tion, etc. The channel could also be used in times of emergency.
CHANNEL 6 - COMMUNITY PUBLIC ACCESS
Public Access is a non-commezcial channel made available to
private citizens and ozganizations upon request, and is intended
to foster the development of community expzession. Storer will
train and assist citizens in the operation of the Public Access
equipment at no charge.
CHANNEL 8 - TV GUIDE
TV Guide lists all pzogramming on the cable system not carried
in the local newspapez or TV Guide, (such as satellite services and
local ozganization channels).
CHANNEL 12 - ESPN - THE ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORTS PROGRAMMING NETWORK
This is a 24-houz all sports station with a wide range of
pzofessional, NCAA and amateur sports.
CHANNEL 14 - GALAVISION
A pay service featuring Spanish - language movies, weekly mini-
sezies, sports and variety hour.
CHANNEL 15 - THE MOVIE CHANNEL
A pay service channel showing movies 24 houzs a day.
CHANNEL 16 - CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY AT FULLERTON
This channel will allow the univezsity access to cable T.V.
subscribers foz a transmission of instzuctional progzamming as
well as school functions and events.
CHANNEL 17 - WTBS - ATLANTA
CHANNEL 19 - SHOWTIME
This channel will cazry many new movies each month - uncut and
unintezrupted. Also night club acts and specials will be shown.

CHANNEL 20 - OPEN - FUTURE PROGRAMMING
CHANNEL 21 - HBO HOME BOX OFFICE
This is a pay service showing current theatrical releases.
CHANNEL 27 - USA (formerly MADISON SQUARE GARDEN SPORTS)
C-SPAN - HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
BET - BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION
Shared time for sports events, congressional activities and
black-oriented movies, dramas and sports
C-SPAN (Via Satellite) will have gavel to gavel coverage of the
U. S. House of Representatives extending from noon to the
adjournment of the House Session each day - up to 7 hours daily.
CHANNEL 28 - KCET - LOS ANGELES
The Los Angeles Public T.V. network.
CHANNEL 29 - WGN-9 CHICAGO
CHANNEL 31 - CNN - CABLE NEWS NETWORK
This news network features 24-hour live news coverage.
CHANNEL 32 - AP NEWS - ASSOCIATED PRESS NEWS
NYSE - NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE TAPE
CHANNEL 33 - OPEN - FUTURE PROGRAMMING
CHANNEL 35 - COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD AND WEATHER
Special channel set aside for community events calendar and
regional weather information.
CHANNEL 36 - AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION NETWORK
Continuing education courses for professionals who need courses
to keep their licenses, or stay current in their fields will be
offered.
CHANNEL 37 - EDUCATIONAL - ANAHEIM SCHOOL DISTRICTS
CHANNEL 38 - RELIGIOUS ACCESS - ANAHEIM AREA
CHANNEL 41 - LEASED ACCESS
Channel available for commercial access.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby declare its intention
to amend Ordinance No. 4087 granting the non-exclusive right,
privilege and franchise to lay and use lines, wires, coaxial
cable and appurtenances for transmitting, reserving, distributing
and supplying radio, television and other cable services across
and upon the public streets, ways, alleys and places within the
City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any person having an
interest in or objecting to said amendments may be heard on the
24th day of T`arch,~ 1881, at 3:00 o'clock P.M., or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 24th day of
