A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF HELENA STREET BETWEEN CHARTRES STREET
AND LINCOLN AVENUE AND CERTAIN ADJOINING
ALLEYS .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly posted and published, give notice of its in-
tention to vacate and abandon the public street or alley herein
after described; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of March, 1981, a public hear-
ing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence con-
cerning said proposed vacation and abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of .Anaheim does
find, from the evidence submitted, that the public street or
alley hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for pres-
ent or prospective public street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the public
convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception of
the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter specifically de-
scribed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and aban-
donment of Helena Street between Chartres Street and Lincoln
Avenue and certain contiguous alleys, more specifically described
as follows:
Those certain 16.00-foot easements for alley and
public utility purposes and that portion of Helena
Street, being a 52.50-foot wide easement for road and
public utility purposes in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, lying within that por-
tion of the New Subdivision of Vineyard Lot D-5, per
map recorded in Book 17, page 72, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, in the office of the
Orange County Recorder of said Orange County, described
as follows:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of the precise
~~ alignment of Lincoln Avenue (110.00 feet wide) per
Resolution 79R-57 on January 30, 1979 recorded in Book
13026, page 1500, Official Records, records of said
Orange County, said point being S 49° 47' 04" W, 107.09
feet from the northeasterly terminus of that certain
course in said centerline having a bearing of N 49° 47'
04" E, and a length of 384.90 feet; thence N 40° 12' S6"
W, 55.00 feet to a line which is parallel with and 55.00

feet northwesterly of said centerline and the true point
of beginning, said point also being on the westerly line
of Clementine Street, 60.00 feet wide, as shown on said
map; thence along said parallel line S 49° 47' 04" W,
220.93 feet to the beginning of a curve concave north-
westerly having a radius of 1,242.57 feet; thence South-
westerly along said curve through a central angle of 5°
20' 08" an arc distance of 115.71 feet; thence S 55° 07`
12" W, 28.96 feet to the beginning of a curve concave
northwesterly having a radius of 941.00 feet, said curve
being concentric with and 59.00 feet northwesterly of
that certain curve on the centerline of said precise
alignment of Lincoln Avenue, having a radius of 1,000.00
feet and a central angle of 25° 40' 52"; thence South-
westerly along said curve through a central angle of 3°
54' Ol" an arc distance of b4.06 feet to the westerly
line of Helena Street, 60.00 feet wide, as shown on said
map; thence along said Westerly line N 14° 27' 35" W,
288.57 feet to the southerly line of Chartres Street,
formerly Esplanade Avenue, 52.00 feet wide, as shown on
said map; thence along said Southerly line N 75° 27' 25"
E, 393.22 feet to said westerly line of Clementine
Street; thence along said westerly line S 14° 29' 07"
E, 117.39 feet to the true point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom unto the Southern California Gas
Company an underground public utility easement for the
installation and maintenance of underground gas lines
under the westerly 21.00 feet of the above described
portion of said Helena Street, together with all reason-
able rights of ingress and egress.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this
Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of the City
Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California.
