1981-501WHEREAS, the need has been established for adjusting rates
of compensation for certain administrative management classifications,
and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to supersede
Resolution No. 80R -577 and amendments thereto, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that adjusting the rates of compensation for these administrative
management classifications is in the best interests of the City of
Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim as follows:
Section 1.
RESOLUTION NO. 81R-501
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO.
80R -577 AND AMENDMENTS THERETO AND ADJUSTING
RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
DESIGNATED AS ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT.
That effective January 1, 1982, the basic compensation plan for
all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or
will in the future be employed in any of the classifications listed below
shall be allocated to the following salary schedules in the Salary Schedule
Master.

Section 2.
Employees working in job classifications listed in Section 1 of this
resolution shall be eligible for a management incentive pay program whereby the
salary adjustments listed in Section 1 may be granted by the City Manager on an
individual basis one to six pay periods prior to January 1, 1982.
Section 3.
Employees working in job classifications listed in Section 1 of this
resolution shall receive a management benefit package equivalent to a four
percent (4.0 salary adjustment, whereby the employee shall have the choice
of receiving the benefit in City -paid Employee contribution to the Public
Employees Retirement System, or deferred compensation, or additional earnings.
The City Manager may grant this benefit on an individual basis one to six
pay periods prior to January 1, 1982, otherwise, the benefit shall become
effective January 1, 1982.
Section 4.
In order for the rates of pay listed herein to be implemented, the
performance of each employee in the classes herein listed shall be appropriately
evaluated and the incumbent employees may be placed on any step in the above
salary schedule based on satisfactory performance evaluation. Otherwise, the
employee shall be compensated at his existing rate of pay until it is
appropriately determined that the performance of said employee warrants assign-
ment to a different step. At such time as it is determined that an increase
in pay is warranted through performance evaluation, the employee may be placed
on any higher step in the designated salary schedule effective the first day
of the pay period in which the determination is made.
Section 5.
The letter "X" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees
working in that job class are exempt from overtime provisions as provided in
Personnel Rule 6.04, Premium Pay.
Section 6.
The regular hourly rate of pay for employees working in job classes
listed in this Resolution shall be computed as provided in Personnel Rule 5,
Hours of Work and Pay Day.
Section 7.
The provisions of this Resolution shall supersede Resolution No.
80R -577 and amendments thereto.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council this 27th day of October 1981.
