1965-010WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing in Reclassification Proceed-
ings No. 64 -65 -57 to consider an amendment to
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to zoning, and
to consider a change in the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described, and at said hearing did
receive evidence and reports from persons interested therein
and from its staff; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty days following
said hearing thereon the Planning Commission did duly adopt
a resolution containing report of its findings, a summary
of the evidence presented at said hearing, and a recommendation
that a certain zone or zones be changed as more particularly
set forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission,the City Council did fix the 5th day
of Januar 19 65 as the time and the City Council
Chain e� .rs in t le ity Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place
for a public hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18
of the Anaheim Municipal. Code, nd the exclusion of said
property, hereinafter described, from the zone or zones in
which it is now situated, and the incorporation thereof in the
zone or zones hereinvfter set forth; and did give notice there-
of in the manner and form as provided in said Title 18 the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time =!nd place fixed for said public
hearing the City Council did hold and conduct such public
hearing, and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tu. niLy to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports, and
did thereupon consider the summary of evidence presented at
said public hearing before the Planning Commission, its report
of findings, and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that the amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
should be adopted and that the property hereinafter described
should be excluded from the zone or zones in which it is now
situated and incorporated in the zone or zones as hereinafter
set forth;
RESOLUTION NO. 65R 10
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT TITLE
18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
ZONING SHOULD BE AMENDED AND THAT THE BOUND
ARIES OF CERTAIN ZONES SHOULD BE CHANGED.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended and that the follow-
ing described property, situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, to wit:

The north 146.59 feet of the south 293.32 feet
of the east half of the west half of the north-
west quarter of the southwest quarter of Section
18, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the
Rancho Los Coyotes, City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, as per map recorded
in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County.
be excluded from R -A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and in-
corporated in R -3, MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, upon the
following conditions:
1. That the owner of subject property shall pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front
foot, along Velare Street, for street lighting
purposes.
2. That the owner of subject property shall pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of 15Q per front
foot along Velare Street, for tree planting
purposes.
3. That the completion of these reclassification
proceedings is contingent upon the granting
of Variance No. 1671.
4. That all driveways shall be a minimum width
of 21 feet, and that a minimum vertical
clearance of 14 feet shall be provided for a
minimum width of 21 feet and at corner cut
offs.
5. That an adequate turn around with a 27 -foot
radius, or a hammer -head, shall be provided
for trash trucks and emergency vehicles.
6. That sidewalks and driveways shall be installed
along Velare Street, as required by the City
Engineer and in accordance with standard plans
and specifications on file in the Office of the
City Engineer, prior to final building
inspection.
7. That the curbs and gutters along Velare Street
shall be repaired as required by the City
Engineer and in accordance with standard plans
and specifications on file in the Office of
the City Engineer, prior to final building
inspection.
8. That trash storage areas shall be provided
in accordance with approved plans on file
in the Office of the Director of Public Works
and Superintendent of Streets, prior to final
building inspection.
9. That the owner of subject property shall pay
to the City of Anaheim the sum of $25.00 per
dwelling unit, to be used for park and recrea-
tion purposes, said amount to be paid at the
time the building permit is issued.
10. That fire hydrants shall be installed as required
and determined to be necessary by the Chief of
the Fire Department, said fire hydrants to be
installed prior to final building inspection.
11. That a 6 -foot masonry wall shall be constructed
along the north, west and south property lines
prior to final building inspection.
12. That the rear and side walls of the proposed
carports shall be finished with exterior
building materials; that enclosed storage
cabinets of a minimum capacity of 100 cubic
feet shall be provided at the rear wall of each
carport; that adequate bumper guards shall be
provided to protect the interior walls of the
carports; and that all of said items shall have
been completed or complied with prior to final
building inspection.
13. That subject property shall be developed sub-
stantially in accordance with plans and specifi-
cations on file with the City of Anaheim, marked
"Exhibits Nos. 1, 2 and 3 PROVIDED, HOWEVER,
that all development along the easterly ninety
feet of subject property shall be limited to
one story in height and to a maximum of eighteen
dwelling units.
14. That Conditions Nos. 1 and 2 above mentioned
shall be complied with within a period of 180
days from date hereof, or such further time as
the City Council may grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an ordinance amending Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to accomplish the objects herein found and
determined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 5th day of January, 1965.
