1965-008A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT TITLE
18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
ZONING SHOULD BE AMENDED AND THAT THE BOUND-
ARIES OF CERTAIN ZONES SHOULD BE CHANGED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing in Reclassification Proceed-
ings No. 64 -65 -56 to consider an amendment to
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to zoning, and
to consider a change in the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mention -d and described, and at said hearing did
receive evidence and reports from persons interested therein
and from its staff; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty days following
said hearing thereon the Planning Commission did duly adopt
a resolution containing report of its findings, a summary
of the evidence presented at said hearing, and a recommendation
that a certain zone or zones be changed as more pa rticularly
set forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendrtion of the City
Planning Commission,the City Council did fix the 5th day
of Januar 19 65 as the time and the City Council
Chain ers in t e ity geirrof the City of Anaheim as the place
for a public he ring upon said proposed amendment to Title 18
of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and the exclusion of said
property, hereinafter described, from the zone or zones in
which it is now situated, and the incorporation thereof in the
zone cr zones hereinafter set forth; and did give notice there-
of in the manner and form as provided in said Title 18 the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time nd place fixed for said public
hearing the City Council did hold and conduct such public
hearing, and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tl.miLy to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports, and
did thereupon consider the summary of evidence presented at
said public hearing before the Planning Commission, its report
of findings, and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that the amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
should be adopted and that the property hereinafter described
should be excluded from the zone or zones in which it is now
situated and incorporated in the zone or zones as hereinafter
set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended and that the follow-
ing described property, situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, to wit:

The Northerly 292.00 feet of the Southerly 1074.29
feet of the East half of the West half of the North-
west quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section
18, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino
Base Meridian.
Excepting any portion thereof included within
Tract No. 2062, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 72, pages 3 and 4 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California.
be excluded from R -A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and in-
corporated in R -3, MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, upon the
following conditions:
1. (a) That all engineering requirements of the
City of Anaheim along Velare Street, including
preparation of improvement plans and installa-
tion of all improvements, such as curbs and gutters,
sidewalks, street grading and paving, drainage
facilities, or other appurtenant work shall be com-
plied with as required by the City Engineer and
in accordance with standard plans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Engineer; and
(b) that a bond in an amount and form satisfactory
to the City of Anaheim shall be posted with the
City to guarantee the installation of said
engineering requirements.
2. That the owner of subject property shall pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front
foot, along Velare Street, for street lighting
purposes.
3. That the owner of subject property shall pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of 15Q per front
foot along Velare Street, for tree planting
purposes.
4. That the curbs and gutters along Velare Street
shall be repaired as required by the City Engineer
and in accordance with standard plans and speci-
fications on file in the Office of the City
Engineer.
5. That all driveways shall be a minimum width of
21 feet, and that a minimum vertical clearance
of 14 feet shall be provided for a minimum width
of 21 feet and at corner cutoffs.
6. Thattrash storage areas shall be provided in
accordance with approved plans on file in the
Office of the Director of Public Works and
Superintendent of Streets, prior to final
building inspection.
7. That fire hydrants shall be installed as required
and determined to be necessary by the Chief of
the Fire Department, said fire hydrants to be
installed prior to final building inspection.

12. That Conditions Nos. 1(b), 2, 3 and 4 above
mentioned shall be complied with within a period
of 180 days from date hereof, or such further
time as the City Council may grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an ordinance amending Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to accomplish the objects herein found and
determined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 5th day of January, 1965.

8. That the owner of subject property shall pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of $25.00 per dwelling
unit, to be used for park and recreation purposes,
said amount to be paid at the time the building
permit is issued.
9, That a 6 -foot masonry wall shall be constructed
along the north, west and south property lines,
prior to final building inspection.
10. That subject property shall be developed sub-
stantially in accordance with plans and specifi-
cations on file with the City of Anaheim, marked
"Exhibits Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, Revision No. 1
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that all development along
the easterly 90 feet shall be limited to one
story in height.
11. That the completion of these reclassification
proceedings is contingent upon the granting
of Conditional Use Permit No. 652.
