A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR AND
DIRECTING THL ACQUISITION BY EMINENT DOMAIN
OF REAL PROPERTY FOR CIVIC CONVENTION CENTER
PURPOSES.
WHERLAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition, improvement and maintenance of a public improvement
within the City of Anaheim, to wit: a civic convention center;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition by the City
of Anaheim of all that certain real property herein described for
the improvement and maintenance of a civic convention center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as follows, to wit:
Parcel 1: The West half of the Northeast quarter
of the Northwest quarter of Section 27, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho
San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 51, Page 10 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.
Excepting therefrom the following: Beginning
at the Northwest corner of the Northeast
quarter of the Northwest quarter of said
Section 27; thence South 40 rods; thence
East 12 feet; thence North 40 rods; and
thence West 12 feet to the point of beginning,
as described in the deed to Monroe Mitchell,
recorded March 14, 1911 in Book 184, Page 238
of Deeds.

Parcel 2: The West 4 feet of the East half
67 quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon
de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 51, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California.
Excepting therefrom that portion included
within the South 10 acres of said East half
of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of said Section 27.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does here-
by find and determine that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for the
improvement and maintenance of the aforesaid project, and that
the taking of the property hereinabove described is necessary
therefor, and that the use to which it is to be applied is a
use authorized by law and the taking of said property is neces-
sary to such use.
AND BE IT FURTHERESOLVED that the acquisition of
said property by the City of Anaheim be and it is hereby author-
ized, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim be and he is
hereby authorized to commence an action in eminent domain for
the acquisition of fee title to said property, and to perform
and carry out all of the necessary proceedings and steps incident
to the acquisition of the title to said property by eminent
domain or otherwise.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 27th day of October, 1964.

the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 27th day of

ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Krein
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said Resolution No. 64R -791 on the 27th day of October, 1964.
