A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE EXTENDING
THE TERM OF THAT CERTAIN AGREEMENT FOR SOIL
AND MATERIAL CONTROL TESTS, DATED AUGUST 2,
1960, FOR A TERM COMMENCING JULY 1, 1965,
AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1966.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
did heretofore, to wit, on August 2, 1960, enter into an agree-
ment for the making of certain soil tests and material control
tests necessary for road construction by the County of Orange,
upon the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the term of said agreement was from date of
execution to June 30, 1961; and
WHEREAS, said agreement has been renewed for four
additional terms of one year each upon the same terms and
conditions, and will expire June 30, 1965; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to renew said
agreement for an additional term commencing July 1, 1965, and
ending June 30, 1966, upon the same terms and conditions as
specified in said agreement dated August 2, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange is agreeable to said
extension of time and has tendered to the City of Anaheim a
form of agreement to be made and entered into by and between
the City and the County of Orange, extending that certain
agreement dated August 2, 1960, hereinabove mentioned, for an
additional term commencing July 1, 1965, and ending June 30,
1966, upon the same terms and conditions as specified in said
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be to
the advantage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim
to enter into said renewal agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted to
the City Council to be made and entered into by and between the
County of Orange and the City of Anaheim extending that certain
agreement entered into by the City and the County on August 2,
1960, for soil tests and material control tests, for an addi-
tional term commencing July 1, 1965, and ending June 30, 1966,
upon the same terms and conditions as specified in said agree-
ment dated August 2, 1960, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
