A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 1703
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for 4oning variance from
the UNION BANK, owner
of certain real property situated n the ty o h
naeim, ounty
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Lot No. 1 of Tract No. 3676, as shown
on a map recorded in Book 135, Page 19
of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
May 10 19 65 notice of which said public hearing was
duly given as requ Tred by law and the provisions of Title 18,
Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission after due
inspection, investigation_and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. 1619 Series
1964 denying Variance No. 1703 and
WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty -two (22) -days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the City
Planning Commission in denying said variance and did set a
public hearing thereon to be held on the 8th day of June,
1965 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in the City of
Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly given as
required by law and the provisions of Title 18,_Chapter 18.76 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There is no property right.,possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and denied the subject property.
2s It appears that the subject property can be
adequately developed and used under the present
zone,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission
denying Variance No. 1703, be, and the same is hereby sustained,
and that the petition of the Union Bank for a conditional zoning
variance permitting a waiver of the minimum setback requirement
when abutting R -1 zoned property and a waiver of the maximum
structural height limitation within 150 feet of R -1 zoned
property, be, and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 8th day of June 19 65
