A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AMENDMENT TO THAT CERTAIN CONTRACT
FOR GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING AND CONSULTATION
SERVICES ENTERED INTO ON JANUARY 26, 1965
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND DAMES AND
MOORE; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 65R -668.
WHEREAS, a contract was entered into by and between
the City of Anaheim and Dames and Moore on the 26th day of
January, 1965, wherein Dames and Moore agreed to furnish to
the City of Anaheim geological engineering inspection and con-
sultation services in connection with the construction of the
Walnut Canyon reservoir and dam; and
WHEREAS, as work progressed on said reservoir facility,
it was revealed that necessary investigation of dam foundation
material warrants additional geological engineering services;
and
WHEREAS, Dames and Moore desires to be employed to
render such additional geological engineering services upon the
terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Dames and Moore
is qualified to render such services and should be employed,
and said contract dated January 26, 1965 amended as hereinafter
specified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that an amendment to that certain agreement
for geological engineering and consultation services entered
into on January 26, 1965 between the City of Anaheim and Dames
and Moore, be made and entered into between the parties pro-
viding as follows:
1. That said agreement entered into between the parties
on the 26th day of January, 1965, shall be amended to
provide that Dames and Moore shall furnish geological
engineering inspection and consultation services,
which shall include, but not be limited to, the
services of a staff geologist and an associate
geologist, such services to be furnished henceforth
through the month of October, 1965 as required by
the City.
2. The compensation which the City shall pay for the
services referred to in Paragraph 1 above shall be
computed in accordance with the record of charges
marked "Exhibit A" in the agreement which these pro-
visions amend; except that the rate for the full
time services of the staff geologist shall be
$750.00 per week and the rate for the full -time
services of the associate geologist shall be $500.00
per week.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said amendment to
contract for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 19th day of October 1965.

3. It is estimated that the total amount of compensa-
tion for the services referred to in Paragraph 1
above shall not exceed $25,000.00, such amount
being in addition to that estimated total amount
of compensation referred to in Paragraph 8 of the
agreement to which said amendment applies. The
cost to the City shall not exceed this amount with-
out its prior written approval.
4. That certain agreement entered into between the
parties on January 26, 1965 shall remain in full
force and effect except to the extent that the
provisions of said amendment are inconsistent
therewith.
