AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE
TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS EAST LA PALMA
NO. 2 ANNEXATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on
the 25th day of October, 1973, receive a written petition
asking that certain new territory described in said petition
be annexed to the City of Anaheim.
That prior to the circulation or filing of said
petition, notice of intention to annex said territory, contain-
ing the specific boundaries of the territory to be annexed, was
filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission, and said
Local Agency Formation Commission rendered its decision, as
provided in Section 54797 of the Government Code, approving
said annexation.
That said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is
uninhabited territory. That said petition contained a descrip-
tion of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in
this ordinance described.
That the City Council duly assembled at a regular
meeting of said City Council held on the 6th day of November,
1973, did find that said petition at the time it was filed and
received was signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth
of the land in the territory by area and by assessed value, as
shown on the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the
County of Orange, State of California, in which said territory
is situated, and that said territory did not form a part of any
municipal corporation, and did find that said territory is
contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory.
That on the 6th day of November, 1973, at a regular
meeting of said City Council of the City of Anaheim, Resolution
No. 73R-542 was duly passed and adopted specifically describing
the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to
the City of Anaheim and designating such territory as EAST
LA PALMA NO. 2 ANNEXATION and giving notice of such annexation
and fixing the 18th day of December, 1973, at the hour of 1:30
o'clock P.M. at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim, as the day, hour and place for hearing of
written protests to said annexation and when and where any
person owning real property within such territory so proposed
to be annexed and having objections to the proposed annexation
might appear before the City Council of the City of Anaheim and
present written objections to the annexation of said territory
to the City of Anaheim, and directing the City Clerk to publish
or cause to be published a copy of said resolution at least
twice, but not more often than once a week, for two successive
weeks prior to the date of said hearing, in a newspaper of
general circulation, published in the City of Anaheim, to wit:
the Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California,

and also in a newspaper of general circulation, published out-
side of the City of Anaheim, but in the County of Orange, in
which is located the territory hereinafter proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit; The Daily News
Tribune; and directing that said publications be completed at
least twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing hereinabove
mentioned; and further directing the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to
be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory
proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized County
assessment roll available on the date the proceedings were
initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll or as
known to said City Clerk, and to any person who has filed his
name and address and the designation of lands in which he has
any interest, either legal or equitable, with said City Clerk;
and that in the event that land within the territory proposed
to be annexed to the City of Anaheim is owned by a county, that
the City Clerk shall cause written notice of such proposed
annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such
county, and directing that such notices be given not less than
twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed
annexation.
That on the hour, day and at the place specified in
said Resolution No. 73R-542, to wit: On the 18th day of December,
1973, at the hour of 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the City Council Chamber
in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, California, the City
Council of the City of Anaheim did meet and assemble to hear and
pass on all protests filed or received up to the closing of the
hearing on said protests. That the City Council did find that
the resolution fixing the time and place of said hearing was pub-
lished by the City Clerk as therein directed, and that written
notice of such proposed annexation was mailed by the City Clerk
as directed in said resolution and as set forth above, and that
written protests were not made by the owner or owners of one-half
of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed according to
the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, State
of California, nor were protests made by public or private owners
equal to one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be
annexed as determined by the City Council. Said findings were
then duly adopted by Resolution No. 73R-582 on December 18, 1973.
SECTION 2.
That the annexation of the territory included within
the boundaries of the EAST LA PALMA NO. 2 ANNEXATION, and more
particularly described as follows, to wit;
That parcel of land located in the County of Orange,
State of California, a portion of which lies within
Lot 4 of Tract No. 925, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 29, pages 42, 43 and 44, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County, described as follows;
Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line
of the City of Anaheim, said point being the northwest
corner of the East La Palma Annexation to said City,
certified by the Secretary of State August 14, 1972,
said northwest corner being a point in a curve in the
northerly right of way line of La Palma Avenue con-
cave northwesterly and having a radius of 1,947 feet,
a radial line bearing S 80 56' 09" E passes through
said point at an intersection with the southerly pro-
longation of the westerly line of the land described
in the deed recorded April 10, 1967 in Book 8220,

page 619, Official Records of said Orange County;
thence N 1° 23' 00" E, 1,415 feet, more or less,
leaving said existing City of Anaheim City limit line
and following along said prolongation and said wester-
ly line and northerly prolongation thereof to an inter-
section with the northerly right of way line of
Orangethorpe Avenue, 50 feet wide, said point of
intersection being a point in the existing City limit
line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the
Yorba Annexation to the City of Anaheim, certified by
the Secretary of State August 10, 1964; thence S 780
18' 00" E, 430.43 feet following along a portion of
said Yorba Annexation boundary being a portion of the
northerly right of way line of said Orangethorpe
Avenue to an intersection with the northerly prolonga-
tion of the easterly line of Lot 4 in said Tract No.
925, said point of intersection being a point in the
westerly annexation boundary established by the Orange-
thorpe-La Palma Annexation certified by the Secretary
of State August 24, 1970; thence S 00 15' 40" E, 1,228
feet, more or less, leaving said Yorba Annexation
boundary and following along a portion of the said west-
erly annexation boundary, also being a portion of said
northerly prolongation and easterly line of Lot 4 in
said Tract 925 to an intersection with the northerly
right of way line of La Palma Avenue, said point of
intersection being a point in a curve concave south-
easterly and having a radius of 2053 feet, a radial
line bearing N 8° 28' 50" W passes through said point,
said point also being a point in the existing City
limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by
the aforementioned East La Palma Annexation; thence
Southwesterly leaving said Orangethorpe-La Palma
Annexation boundary line and following along a portion
of the said East La Palma Annexation boundary line
along said curve through a central angle of 60 59' 12"
an arc distance of 250.36 feet to the beginning of a
reverse curve concave northwesterly and having a radius
of 1947 feet, a radial line bearing S 150 28' 02" E
passes through said beginning of reverse curve; thence
Southwesterly along said reverse curve through a central
angle of 6° 31' 53" an arc distance of 221.97 feet to
the point of beginning,
is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and
incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, and is hereby designated as the EAST LA PALMA
NO. 2 ANNEXATION to the City of Anaheim.
SECTION 3.
That from and after the effective date of this
ordinance and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the
Secretary of State of the State of California, the annexation
of the territory herein described shall be deemed to be and
shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory shall
be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim,
and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all
property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the
property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay
its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and
liability of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or exist-
ing at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written

consent of the owners of property in said annexed territory
filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the
adoption of this ordinance.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, and thirty days from and after
its final passage it shall be in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
