AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.18, SECTION 18.18.020
OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1_
That Title 18, Chapter 18.18, Section 18.18.020 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by
adding to Paragraph (3) thereof, Sub -paragraph (d) reading as
follows:
"SECTION 18.18.020 PERMITTED BUILDINGS AND USES.
"(3) Uses.
"(d) The maintenance of birds and animals for domestic non-
commercial use shall be permitted; PROVIDED, HOWEVER,
that such birds and animals shall be confined in pens,
coops, corrals or other means of confinement suffi-
cient to prevent the movement of said animals or birds
upon any parcel of real property other than that under
the lawful possession or control of the owner of said
animals or birds.
The permitted animals or birds shall be subject to
the following additional restrictions:
1. Poultry, rabbits and cavies shall not exceed
twenty-four (24) birds or animals per acre.
2. Horses shall not exceed four (4) adult animals
and their immature offspring per acre on a mini-
mum one -acre (1) site.
3. Cattle, sheep and goats shall be permitted on
parcels of land one (1) acre or more in area;
however, the number of such animals shall not
exceed a total of two (2) per acre.
Pens, coops, corrals or other means of confinement
or physical restraint of said birds or animals shall
not be located closer than forty (4.0) feet from any
window or door of any building used for human habita-
tion other than that of the owner.
Barns, stables or any permanent structure used for
the housing or confinement of animals shall be at
least twenty-five (25) feet from any property line.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to
supersede the provisions of Chapter 8.08 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code."

SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
this 19th day of September, 1967.
