2395ORDINANCE NO. 9 -
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND THAT:
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did heretofore duly pass and adopt Resolution No. 263 --
Series 1961-62 in Reclassification No. 61-62-69 recommending an
amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and a change
or changes in the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter
mentioned and described, after having held a public hearing there-
on in the manner and as prescribed in said Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to consider such proposed change or changes of
zone or zones, and after having received evidence and reports
from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission did make find-
ings and summaries of its hearing and did recommend a change or
changes of zone or zones as set forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, report of
findings, summary of evidence and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Clerk did fix the 27th day of
March , 19 62 , as the time, and the Council Ch er in
e Ci y a of the amity of Anaheim as the place, for a public
hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code and said change or changes of zone or zones, and
did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did hold and conduct such public hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did there-
upon consider the recommendation of the City Planning Commission,
and did adopt Resolution(s) No.(s) 62R-335 and 66R-634 ,
finding and determining that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code should be amended and that a change or changes in the bound-
aries of said zone or zones should be made as set forth in said
resolution(s); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said resolution(s), certain
conditions and requirements were made as conditions precedent to
the making of a change or changes of said zone or zones; and
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to said change or
changes of zone or zones have been complied with as to the
property hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.

That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to
wit:
PARCEL 1:
That portion of Lot 1 in Section 5, Township 4 South,
Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, described
as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot 1; running
thence North 50 48' West along the East line of the
"Kraemer Tract," As shown on a map thereof recorded in Book
12, pages 87 and 88 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, 8.347 chains to a point distant 718.83
feet South 50 48' East measured along the East line of
said Kraemer Tract from the Northwest corner of said Lot 1;
thence North 780 28' East 582.90 feet to a point in the
West line of the right of way of the California Central
Railway as described in the deed recorded in Book 253, page
168, Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California,
distant South 140 04' West 650.60 feet from the intersection
of said West line with the North line of said fractional

of said right of way, 10.388 chains to a point in the South
line of said Lot 1; thence West along the South line of
said Lot 1, 5.293 chains to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 2:
All that portion of the North 154.23 feet of Lot 2 in
Section 5, Township 4 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B.& M.,
conveyed to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded December 6,
1960 in Book 5536, page 516 of Official Records of said
County, lying northerly of the following described center
line of La Palma Avenue:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 of said Section
5, being also the center line intersection of La Palma
Avenue and Jefferson Street; thence North 8$° 07' 30"
West, 740.48 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 1,000 feet;
thence Southwesterly along said curve, through a central
angle of 31° 09' 44", an arc distance of 543.88 feet to the
point of terminus of the herein described line.
now is R -A, AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and
incorporated in M-1, LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE, upon the following
conditions:
1. That all engineering requirements of the City of
Anaheim, such as curbs and gutters, sidewalks, street grading
and paving, drainage facilities, or other appurtenant work
shall be complied with as required by the City Engineer and
in accordance with standard plans and specifications on file
in the Office of the City Engineer at the time the property
is developed.

2. That the owners of the property shall pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of $2.00 per front foot for street
lighting purposes, said amount to be paid at the time the
property is developed.
3. That all plans for development of the property
shall be submitted to and approved by the Architectural Control
Committee on the basis of compatibility of development, both
structurally and architecturally.
SECTION 2.
The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby,
amended, and the property above described shall be excluded
from the zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in
and made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and
said City Zoning Map as amended is hereby adopted and the City
Engineer is hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map
to be added to the City Zoning Map showing the changes hereby
approved and adopted.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
