AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AT TITLE 7, CHAPTER 7.24 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
HANDBILLS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEI' DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 7.24.040 of Chapter 7.24 of Title 7
of the Anaheim Municipal Code be repealed.
SECTION 2.
That Section 7.24.060 of Chapter 7.24 of Title 7
of the Anaheim Municipal Code be amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 7.24.060 HOURS FOR DISTRIBUTING
HANDBILLS RESTRICTED.
"No person shall distribute any handbill between
the 7hours of 5:00 P.M. of any aay and 8:00 A.M.
of the following day, provided that said restric-
tion shall not apply to newspapers to which the
owner or occupant of the premises has subscribed."
SECTION 3.
That Section 7.24.070 of Chapter 7.24 of Title 7
of the Anaheim !,.Tunicipal Code be amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 7.24.070 EXE11PT IONS FPO -'j--' CHAPTER AND
!�iANNER OF DELIVERING HA1\T.DBILL
TO PRIVATE PROPERTY.
"The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to
the distribution of the United States mail. In
making delivery of any handbill to anN7 -person or
property where a sign has not been posted as provided
in Section 7.24.050, the handbill shall either be
delivered personally to the person or placed upon
the premises in such a manner that the handbill
will not be blown from the premises of such -per-
son onto the private property of other persons, or
the streets, or public places within the City."
SECTION 4.
The City Cler"Jrk. saall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoj-,tion, in the Anaheim. Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, -printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thir-'[_-t;, (30) days from and after
its final passago it shall ta.-r:e effect and" -.:-c in full force.
