AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 14, CHAPTER 14.32 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 14, Chapter 14.32 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby amended, by adding thereto Sec-
tion 14.32.152, reading as follows:
`°SECTION 14.32.152 TWO-HOUR PARKING --STREETS DESIGNATED
9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., SATURDAYS,
SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS EXCEPTED.
"It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave
parked any vehicle for a period longer than two hours
on the following city streets and portions of streets,
between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. of any day
except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and the Chief
of Police is authorized and directed to post immediately
and maintain along said streets and portions of streets
appropriate signs designating said parking restrictions:
1. Chartres Street, on both sides, between Helena
Street and Harbor Boulevard."
SECTION 2.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 36937 of the Govern-
ment Code of the State of California, this ordinance shall take ef-
fect immediately for the following reason: As a result of a recent
parking restriction enacted on Harbor Boulevard and the consistent
and constant all -day parking on Chartres Street and other adjacent
streets in the vicinity of Harbor Boulevard and Helena Street, parkin(
is unavailable for senior citizens who have need of the facilities
of the physicians who occupy the medical building on said Chartres
Street and it is imperative that Chartres Street be posted for two-
hour parking between 9:OOA.M. and 6:00 P.M. in order to allow said
senior citizens the ability to get to the physicians' offices on
Chartres Street.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance by the City Council of the City of Anaheim on the
'31st day of March, 1970, and shall cause this ordinance to be pub-
lished in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in said City within fifteen (15)
days after its passage.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me this
31st day of March 19 70 .
