A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING THE
ELECTRIC RATES, RULES, AHD
REGULATIONS.
W~EREAS, under Charter Section 1221, the City Counoil is
authorized to establish rates, rules and regulations for the
water and electric utilities; and
Wq{EREAS, the city Council desires to amend Rules 5 and 10 of
the Electric Rates, Rules and Regulations to streamline the
procedure by which a utility customer may dispute an electric
bill.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that Rules 5 and 10 of the Electric Rates,
Rules and Regulations be, and the same are hereby, amended to
read as set forth in Exhibits "A" and "B", respectively.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Anaheim this 1st day of October, ~991.

Each contract for electric service shall contain the following
provision:
"This contract shall at all times be subject to such changes or
modifications by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as said City
Council may, from time to time, direct in the exercise of its
jurisdiction."
UTILITY BILL
The following statements will be printed on each utility bill:
"This bill is due and payable upon presentation."

General Manager will review the basis of the billed amount and authorize
any adjustment required in accordance with his findings. If the matter is
not satisfactorily resolved with the General Manager, you may petition the
City Council for final determination."
C. DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE NOTICE
The following etatemen~ will be princed on each discontinuance
of service no=ice:
"If service disconnection becomes necessary, a raconnection charge must De
paid for the service(s) disconnected, in addition to the amount of your
bill, before service can be stored. A collection fee is also required if
you wish our field representative to accept your ~ayment. A deposit or
additional deposit may also be required."
