ORDINANCE NO. 4506
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANAHEIM ADDING
TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.04 SECTION 11.04.070 TO THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO TRESPASSING
AT THE ANAHEIM STADIUM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Title 1, Chapter 11.04 Section 11.04.070 be added to
the Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows:
"11.04.070 TRESPASSING TO ANAHEIM STADIUM
It is unlawful for any person to enter into or climb on or
upon any area of the Anaheim Stadium or Anaheim Stadium
property which is not open to the general public.
Violation of this Section is a misdemeanor.
11.04.070.010 The areas not open to the general public
shall include, but shall not be limited to, the playing
field during any event or activity to which this area is
not specifically made open to the general public, baseball
dugouts, bull pen areas, team locker rooms, roofs, signs,
architectural supports and superstructure, fencing, walls,
lighting supports and standards, ladders, stages, back
stage areas, and any elevators, stairways, tunnels or
other areas which are either plainly marked as not being
open to the general public or posted with police, security
or stadium personnel who state that these areas are closed
to the general public when such police, security or
stadium personnel are either in uniform or identify
themselves as acting in such capacity.
11.04.070.020 This section shall not apply to any duly
authorized employee, agent, or officer of the City of
Anaheim, or any person duly authorized to be in areas
covered by subsection 11.04.070.010 of this Section by any
such employee, agent or officer. This Section shall also
not apply to any participant, member or employee of any
regularly scheduled team, group, organization or performer
which is participating in any event, activity or
performance then scheduled to take place at the Anaheim
Stadium when such person is authorized bu such team,
group, organization or performer to be in the areas
specified in subsection 11.04.070.010 of this Section, nor
shall it apply to any employee of an emergency service who
is in the course of duty.
11.04.070.030 Definitions:
(1) "playing field" as used in this Section means that
area within the confines of Anaheim Stadium normally used
as the field of play in athletic events and encompasses
the bottom or lowest level of the interior of the Anaheim
Stadium which is surrounded by the lowest level of
spectator seats and is sectioned off from the spectator
areas by a fence or railing.
(2) "baseball dugouts" as used in this Section are the
two enclosed structures on the playing field which are on
the first and third base sides of the baseball field and
are intended to provide seating for each baseball team.
As used in this Section the term "baseball dugouts"
includes the exterior of the roof of both structures.
(3) "stage" as used in this Section is any raised area
constructed or erected for the use of performers,
entertainers or speakers or their members and crew at any
concert or other event held at the Anaheim Stadium.
(4) "back stage area" as used in this Section is any area
behind or beside the "stage" as defined in subsection
11.04.070.030(3) which is physically separated from the
area open to spectators by a fence, wall, rope, barracades
or is otherwise plainly designated as an area off limits
to spectators.
(5) "event or activity" as used in subsection
11.04.070.010 includes the entire time the Anaheim Stadium
property is open to the general public for an event or
activity including the time the parking lot is open before
the event or activity begins until it has been closed
after that event or activity has ended.
(6) "Anaheim Stadium property" as used in this Section
means the stadium structure itself along with all ramps,
buildings and walkways appurtenant thereto and the Anaheim
Stadium parking lot and any structures located thereon as
well as all roadways located within the parking lot.
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elim-
ination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.

SECTION 3. CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bul`letin°, a newspaper
of general circulation, published and cibculated in said City, and
thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it shall take
effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim tbks 29th dmf May, 1984.
