AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SECTIONS 14.32.190
AND 14.32.189 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ALONG FRONTERA
STREET AND WAGNER AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 14.32.190 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
which prohibits parking on certain streets be amended by amending
subsection .770 to provide as follows:
".770 Frontera Street, on the north side, from 980 feet
east of Kraemer Boulevard to La Palma Avenue; on the
south side, from 980 feet east of Kraemer Boulevard
to Kraemer Boulevard and from Rio Vista Street to
La Palma Avenue."
SECTION 2.
That Section 14.32.189 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be
and it is hereby amended in its entirety to provide as follows:
"14.32.189 NO STOPPING AT ANY TIME - TOW AWAY BUS ZONES OR
STREET DESIGNATED
No person shall stop or leave standing any vehicle other
than buses in the following areas at such time as these areas have
been posted with signs or markings so providing:
.010 Bus loading zones
.020 Wagner Avenue, on the north side between
Ambridge Street and Cedarwood Lane; and on the
south side between the ease and west property
lines of Katella High School
.030 Frontera Street, between Newkirk Road and a
point 250 feet west of Newkirk Road
All police officers are authorized and empowered to
remove or cause to be removed all vehicles stopped or left
standing within such areas. The owner and operator of any vehicle
so removed shall be liable for any towing and storage charges.
The person causing removal of such vehicle shall comply with
sections 22851 and 22853 of the California Vehicle Code."
SECTION 3.
SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares that
should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this chapter of
the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this chapter independent of the elimination
herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION 4.
SAVINGS CLAUSE
Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal of
any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner affect the
prosecution for violations of ordinances, which violations were
committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as
a waiver of any license or penalty or" he penal provisions
applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions of this
ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as ordinance
provisions previously adopted by the City relating to the same
subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and
continuations, and not as new enactments.
SECTION 5.
CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said
City, and Thirty (30) days from and after,_its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 6th day of November, 1984.
