A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE
SUBMITTAL OF GROWTH MANAGEMENT AREA
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT(S) TO THE
ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE
COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the city of Anaheim desires to implement the
transportation improvements listed below:
GMA 1 PROJECTS:
1. State College Boulevard/SR-91 underpass widening
design: $30,000 in FY 93/94;
2. Lakeview Avenue between La Palma Avenue and
Orangethorpe Avenue widening design: $15,000 in FY
93/94;
3. Tustin Avenue/SR-91 overcrossing widening design:
$198,000 in FY 94/95;
4. Lakeview Avenue between La Palma Avenue and
Orangethorpe Avenue widening right-of-way acquisition:
$48,000 in FY 93/94;
GMA 2 PROJECTS:
5. Harbor Boulevard/Chapman Avenue second left turn
construction on all approaches: $275,000 in FY 93/94;
6. Brookhurst Street between Ball Road and Katella Avenue
widening feasibility study and environmental clearance:
$150,000 in FY 94/95;
7. Brookhurst Street between Ball Road and Katella Avenue
widening design: $120,000 in FY 96/97;
8. Brookhurst Street between Ball Road and Katella Avenue
widening right-of-way: $500,000 in FY 97/98;
9. Anaheim Boulevard/Cerritos Avenue northbound right turn
land construction: $150,000 in FY 97/98;
GMA 3 PROJECTS:
10. Orangewood Avenue/Interstate 5 freeway underpass design
and right-of-way: $246,000 in FY 93/94;
11. Santa Ana Canyon Road/Tustin Avenue signal and street
improvement design: $25,000 in FY 93/94;
12. Orangewood Avenue/Interstate 5 freeway underpass design
and right-of-way: $228,000 in FY 94/95;
13. Haster Street between SR-22 and Katella Avenue widening
feasibility study and environmental clearance: $188,000
in FY 94/95;
14. Orangewood Avenue between I-5 and State College
Boulevard right-of-way acquisition: $225,000 in FY
95/96;
15. Rio Vista/Lincoln Avenue intersection widening design
and environmental clearance: $250,000 in FY 97/98;
GMA 4 PROJECTS
16. Weir Canyon Road/Santa Ana Canyon Road traffic signal
advanced system detectors design and construction:
$75,000 in FY 93/94;
17. Weir Canyon Road/La Palma Avenue traffic signal
advanced system detectors design and construction:
$50,000 in FY 94/95;
18. Weir Canyon Road between La Palma Avenue and Santa Ana
Canyon Road traffic signal interconnect design and
construction: $75,000 in FY 95/96;
19. Weir Canyon Road/Serrano Avenue and Weir Canyon
Road/Monte Vista traffic signal advanced system
detectors design and construction: $75,000 in FY 96/97;
20. Santa Ana Canyon Road/Woodcreek Road traffic signal
advanced system detectors design and construction:
$20,000 in FY 96/97;
21. Weir Canyon Road/Santa Ana Canyon Road westbound right-
turn-only land construction: $200,000 in FY 97/98;
22. Santa Ana Canyon Road between Weir Canyon Road and
Woodcreek Road traffic signal interconnect design and
construction: $45,000 in FY 97/98;
23. Santa Ana Canyon Road/Riverview Drive traffic signal
advanced system detectors design and construction:
$10,000 in FY 97/98; and
WHEREAS, the city of Anaheim has been declared by the
Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility

requirements to receive Measure M "turnback" funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent
with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim will provide matching
funds as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation
Funding Program Procedures Manual; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
intends to allocate funds for transportation improvement projects
within the incorporated cities and the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City Council of the City of Anaheim
hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority
allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's application
to said Orange County Transportation Authority from the Combined
Transportation Funding Programs. Said funds shall be matched by
funds from said City as required and shall be used to aid the
City in the improvement of the above listed street(s).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of
February, 1993.
