Chairman Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency
to order at 10:05 a.m.
MINUTES: Agency Member Kaywood moved to approve the minutes of the regular
meeting held October 14, 1986. Agency Member Bay seconded the motion. Agency
Member Overholt was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of
520,509.18, in accordance with the 1986 -87 Budget, were approved.
CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS: On motion by Agency Member Roth, seconded by Agency
Member Pickler, the following action was authorized in accordance with the
report and recommendation furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the
Consent Calendar Agenda:
1. 161/128: Receiving and filing the Financial Statement dated September 30,
1986.
End of Consent Calendar. MOTION CARRIED.
161: PUBLIC HEARING - BIENNIAL REPORT - REDEVELOPMENT PLANS: To review the
Redevelopment Plans for Redevelopment Project Alpha and the River Valley
Redevelopment Project and evaluate their progress, respectively, pursuant to
Section 33348.5 of the Health and Safety Code.
Mr. Norm Priest, Director of Community Development and Planning, briefed
portions of the detailed 10 -Page report highlighting the projects completed or
near completion in the downtown project area. (See report entitled - Biennial
Report - Redevelopment Project Alpha and River Valley Redevelopment Project,
prepared for the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency - the Community Redevelopment
Commission by the Community, Development and Planning Department - 1986 - made
a part of the record). He reported that the new buildings in the downtown
area were totally leased and the new 187,000 square foot building in the City
Center nearing completion was in excess of 50 percent leased. The Agency and
its projects remain healthy and they expect to continue forward.
Chairman Roth, on behalf of the Agency, congratulated staff and the Department
on the report and the progress made in the area of Redevelopment. He was also
looking forward to the construction of the railroad underpass on Lincoln
Avenue. He asked Mr. Priest for a time frame on that project.

Mr. Priest reported the underpass was in the design stage at this time. The
design was expected to be complete in this budget year and the underpass
scheduled to be under construction in the next budget cycle.
Chairman Roth asked if anyone wished to speak on the Biennial Report -
Redevelopment Plans; there was no response.
Chairman Roth closed the public hearing.
MOTION: Agency Member Kaywood moved to receive and file the subject report.
Agency Member Bay seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
Chairman Roth announced due to the Veteran's Day Holiday on November 11, 1986,
the regular Redevelopment Agency meeting will be held the following day,
Wednesday, November 12, 1986.
ADJOURNMENT: Agency Member Bay moved to adjourn. Agency Member Kaywood
seconded the motion. Agency Member Overholt was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
