A complete copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment
Agency was posted at 12:00 p.m. on August 28, 1987 at the Civic Center kiosk,
containing all items as shown herein.
Chairman Bay called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to
order at 1:38 p.m.
MINUTES: Approval of the minutes was deferred to the next regular meeting.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of
536,2 .86, in accordance with the 1987-88 Budget, were approved.
....., 161.121: CONDEMNATION HEARING: Public hearing was scheduled to consider the
acquisition of property owned by Victor M. and Rufina P. Villalobos, generally
located at 515 East Chartres Street.
Executive Director Norm Priest reported that the original offer to purchase
subject property was made in 1986 and negotiations have continued since that
time. The California Health and Safety Code requires that action must be
taken within eighteen months of the first offer or the Agency loses the right
to acquire the property. Subject parcel is a portion of a larger vested
property within the Redevelopment Project Alpha.
Chairman Bay asked whether anyone was present representing the owners of
subject property; there was no response. He asked if anyone else wished to
address the Agency; there was no response. Chairman Bay declared the hearing
closed.
Agency Member Bay offered Resolution No. ARA87-17 for adoption, authorizing
condemnation proceedings for subject property and authorizing the law firm of
Oliver, Stoever & Laskin, Special Counsel to the Agency, to proceed. Refer to
Resolution Book.
