A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF LA MESA
STREET LOCATED EAST OF BLUE GUM STREET
(93-7A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by
law; and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of October, 1993, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion
of La Mesa Street located generally easterly of Blue Gum Street,
subject to the reservations hereinafter set forth, more
particularly described as follows:
See Exhibit A attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange upon the certification of the Director of
the Community Development Department that each of the following
conditions or events have been completed or occurred:
1. That Universal Alloy Corporation (Universal) has
acquired, or will acquire through an escrow
to which a certified copy of this Resolution
shall be deposited and concurrently recorded, that
certain "Property", as said Property is defined and
described in that certain agreement by and between
Universal, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, and
the City of Anaheim dated as of October 26, 1993.
2. That concurrently with the recordation of the
certified copy of this resolution, an agreement
or servitude containing covenants affecting
Property, in form and substance acceptable to the
City Attorney, for the benefit of the City of
Anaheim, and against Property requiring the
following:
A) Universal to maintain such access to those
three (3) fire hydrants located, as of the
date of the vacation, in the reserved
easement area as the Anaheim Fire Chief may
reasonably require;
B) Universal to install, at its sole cost and
expense, such protective devices for the fire
hydrants as the Anaheim Fire Chief may
reasonably require, including, without
limitation, such devices as may be necessary
to protect the hydrants from vehicles
operating in the area;
C) If and when Universal obstructs access to the
fire hydrants as a result of the installation
of a fence or barrier, at its sole cost and
expense, such gates and access devices (e.q.,
"Knox Boxes") as the City may require for
emergency access;
D) Not later than one hundred and eighty (180)
days after the date of recordation of the
Resolution of Vacation, Universal shall
construct, at its sole cost and expense, a
traffic "turnaround" in the public right-of-
way at the new terminus of La Mesa Avenue,
and in accordance with the specifications
shown in Exhibit B attached hereto.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Anaheim this 12th day of October,
1993.

The abandonment of an easement fm road purposes over, under and across that portion of
Lot 22, Block K of the Kraemer Tract, as per Map thereof recorded in Book t2, pages 87
and 88, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Parcel 1:
Commencing at the centerline intersection of White Star Avenue and La Palma Avenue, as
shown on a Map of Tract 5070, recorded in Book 252, pages 46 and 47 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence along the centerline of said La Palma
Avenue, South 74° 07' 50" West, 7512.91 feet; thence South 15° 52' 10" East, 605.65 feet
to the true point of beginning, said point of beginning also being the beginning ofa cmx, e
concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 4679.00 feet, a radial line bearing South 12°
13' 03" West passes through the point of beginning of said cm've; thence Northwesterly
along said curve through a central angle of 2° 06' 11" an arc distance of 171.74 feet;
