Chairman Seymour called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency to order.
MINUTES: Approval of minutes was deferred to the next regular meet-
ing.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the
.._, amount of $94,535.78, in accordance with the 1978 -79 Budget, were
approved.
161: DECLARATION OF ASSETS WITHIN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ALPHA - BAY
The Agency Secretary reported that Mr. Ben Bay had submitted a
written declaration of assets, both real and personal, within Rede-
velopment Project Alpha dated May 15, 1979 to comply with Section
33130 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California.
161.121: CONTI HEA - C ONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
(PACIFIC TELEPHONE COMPANY) Hearing was continued the meeting
of May 8, 1979, for further negotiation pertaining to proposed
acquisition of property from Pacific Telephone Company for the
realignment of Lincoln Avenue and the widening of Anaheim Boulevard;
property located on the west side of Anaheim Boulevard between
Cypress and Chartres Streets.
Executive Director Norman J. Priest reported that after the May 8,
1979 meeting, negotiations were resumed with the Telephone Company
representatives, and a mutually acceptable Statement of Intent to
Proceed was reached. He pointed out that the Redevelopment Agency
owns property at the corner of Anaheim Boulevard and Chartres
Street (Parcel A) which is surrounded by Telephone Company property,
and another property located immediately south of the Telephone
Company property (Parcel B). The Telephone Company owns property

located between Clementine and Chartres Streets (Parcel C) as well
as the subject property on Anaheim Boulevard between Cypress and
Chartres Streets (Parcel D). It is proposed that the Redevelop-
ment Agency and Pacific Telephone Company agree to exchange
Parcels A and B for Pacific Telephone's Parcels C and D; any
differential in fair market value of the properties to be ex-
changed to be reconciled by monetary compensation between the
two parties.
This would provide the necessary land for parking needed for Tele-
phone Company employees and for public purposes. Finally the
City would purchase from the Telephone Company the necessary
property for the realignment of Anaheim Boulevard and Lincoln
Avenue.
Mr. Priest thereupon read a letter dated this date from R. William
Ferrante, Attorney representing Pacific Telephone Company, setting
forth the proposed exchange of properties as outlined.
The public hearing was reopened by the Chairman, and upon indica-
tion by Pacific Telephone Company representatives that they had
nothing further to add, the hearing was again closed.
Mr. Roth requested the record to show that he was abstaining
from the discussion and action on this issue due to the fact that
the outcome may affect the realignment of Lincoln Avenue, and he
is the owner of property at 1000 East Lincoln Avenue.
Mr. Seymour offered Resolution No. ARA79 -41 for adoption. Refer
to Resolution Book.
