Chairman Seymour called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency to order.
MINUTES On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Bay, minutes of
the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency regular meeting held August 28, 1979,
were approved. Mr. Overholt was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
No financial demands were presented.
161.107: AWARD OF CONTRACT NO. D79-16 - DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE
In accordance with recommendations by the Executive Director, Mr. Bay
offered Resolution No. ARA79 =91 for adoption. Refer to Resolution
Book.
RESOLUTION NO. ARA79 -91 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE FOLLOWING WORK OF IMPROVEMENT.
(Contract No. D79 -16; Sully- Miller Construction Company, $33,291.40)

161.158: INVITATIONS TO BID - GEORGE WASHINGTON SCHOOL ALTERATIONS
In accordance with recommendations by the Executive Director,
Mrs. Kaywood offered Resolution No. ARA79 -92 for adoption, authorizing

ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1979, 1:00 P.M.
and directing the Agency Secretary to publish a notice inviting
sealed bids for alterations to the former George Washington School,
233 East Chartres Street, for use as a Multipurpose Neighborhood
Center.
Discussion was held and questions raised concerning projected timing
of the work to be done. Mr. Roth expressed concern that duplication
of efforts be avoided by coordinating activities at the center with
those conducted by the Salvation Army in the neighborhood. It was
noted that the Deputy City Manager in charge of Parks, Recreation and
Community Services was expected to attend the City Council meeting
this date, and could respond to any questions.
The foregoing resolution was re- stated. Refer to Resolution Book
RESOLUTION NO. ARA79 -92 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT: ALTERATIONS TO AGENCY PROPERTY, GEORGE WASHINGTON SCHOOL, 233
EAST CHARTRES STREET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO. 82- 364 - 6245.
(Bids to be opened September 27, 1979, 2:00 P.M.)
